For three years I’ve wanted to video blog but couldn’t figure out the tech part. With a new PC and Windows 7, I think I finally reached my goal! And here is my first attempt.
The following is unedited, unrehearsed, a single take, just me and a camera with no helper, and not polished as a full blown presentation in front of a live audience would be. But hey, that’s what makes blogs special, right–their authenticity!
The healing I relate offered special metaphysical lessons for me to learn. The excruciating pain showed up in my back, as I tell, but interestingly, I had a sound healing of back issues over 25 years ago, with no recurrence ever since. So, when this popped up, it was very odd.
As I explain in the video, it wasn’t a back problem at all…
Protecting my prayers is exactly what I needed to remember today.

What made your healing account special was that you shared all the mental footsteps you took before arriving at the nub of the problem, and its inevitable solution.
What a good example of letting God tell you exactly what you needed to know, and then following in His snowmobile tracks.

Being very new to Christian Science and prayer, I was just last week concerned that my prayer was not adequate to provide relief from so called allergies and heavy congestion. As you explained how and what you prayed I joined you and immediately experienced my own healing. Breathing freely and feeling wonderful right now! Thank you again!

SOoooo grateful you upgraded your hardware & software AND figured out how to record in video! The medium for the message SO works for me–capturing my focus and keeping my thoughts from being distracted by all the material things in my room. As a longtime novice student of CS, it’s helpful to hear–literally–of examples of healing and how it progressed.

I felt such an urge to HUG you, Evan. But, not like a human hugging another but straight from divine Love, loving It’s idea, man, loving Itself, in and as the precious idea, man…spiritual man, who simply cannot and could not be injured in any way, by any opposing force. I loved feeling this way, and the hug became for me, too! (I needed this, frankly.) Your love is God’s love, clearly….no human ego, no ulterior motives, no false pride…just plain the loving of the Truth and being determined to express and share it.

I, too, am so grateful you shared these ideas with us–love the video format! I’ve been ‘working’ on a healing for quite a long time, and realized some time ago that we should really know and understand that our prayers are effective and that Christian Science treatment heals without relapse! Protecting our prayers is so necessary! As I realize more and more that God is doing everything for me, I’m progressing nicely–just waking to the good God has in store for me and everyone! I will certainly hold on to your healing insights!

Thank you for your video testimony, which caused me to think of your “lesson learned” in broader terms. I have been consistently praying for the preservation of the freedom we became used to enjoying and should expect in this great Nation. It seems one of the greatest foes right now to this kind of prayer is the suggestion that prayer is ineffective – doubting our own ability to make a difference. I was reminded that “one with God is a majority” and I know that many more than “two or three” are gathering together in “my name” (Christ) to defeat the foe of tyranny on the one hand, and indifference and doubt on the other. Thank you for the reminder!

Evan, Good job for your first time. Very helpful for me for I have had one of my first physical healings starting 2 months ago. I was so darned excited. I have a friend I will try to forward this to who is not a CSer but does think MBE brought great wisdom to us all. I told him to read the S&H all the way through and he will see something good. This video you have “very successfully” done will certainly be a help to him. I am so happy you did this and about a subject I have been struggling with for some time but definitely has disipated through Christian Science.

Evan, I found our blog a couple of weeks ago as I was hit hard by the belief of breakdown and burnout and bingo you had posted something exactly on that !! It helped me realize that I had just agreed to a belief that was “at large” out there.
It was a turning point, because I realized this had never been “my” problem.
Now I am back to my real self and I check your blog on a regular basis, thinking: let us see what Evan has in store today. It is really joyful.
I am truly grateful for your outreach and practice.

I am praying to be guided to the truths I need for the problem at hand. I was led to your blog and this video today, and it is exactly what I need. Beyond the physical suggestions I am dealing with, I am constantly feeling my prayers are not adequate to address a problem so severe. Thank you for the inspiration to see that this is not the case.
