I think the most important question facing humanity is, “Is the universe a friendly place?” This is the first and most basic question all people must answer for themselves.
For if we decide that the universe is an unfriendly place, then we will use our technology, our scientific discoveries and our natural resources to achieve safety and power by creating bigger walls to keep out the unfriendliness and bigger weapons to destroy all that which is unfriendly, and I believe that we are getting to a place where technology is powerful enough that we may either completely isolate or destroy ourselves as well in this process.
If we decide that the universe is neither friendly nor unfriendly and that God is essentially “playing dice with the universe”, then we are simply victims to the random toss of the dice and our lives have no real purpose or meaning.
Hmmmmmmmm
Perhaps if one views The World strictly, or mainly,
from the evidence of the senses (via the front page of the newspaper, the tv, internet, etc, etc, if not the
street scene in many areas, in hospitals, etc) then one could conclude that it is definitely NOT a friendly universe.
BUT! WAIT! Looking higher, and proportionately, with an uplifted viewpoint, from the assumption that God made the universe (the ONLY real universe) out of spiritual ideas–good, perfect ideas–then one can see (again, proportionately), how this is so…see the logic of it, the evidence of it.
Humanity is learning how to view things from a metaphysical basis, and this is “changing” everything!!
“Now we see through a glass, darkly…”
Someday we shall see Truth “Face to face.” Divine, intelligent Mind and Its infinite ideas!
Illusions are dissolving, Truth, ever-present, is appearing! How totally wonderful, huh!!!
What viewpoint-choices are we going to make today, huh?
