Joyful, Joyful Concert

February 19, 2019 | 12 comments

For readers who live near the Tri-Cities, Washington, my branch church is sponsoring a musical celebration concert on March 9th, 7 p.m., at the church. You won’t want to miss it!

Our services have been blessed with some of the best musicians in our region, and they will be showcasing their talents at the concert.

As part of the concert, I will play two piano duets with Olin Ensley, a pianist who has soloed with symphonies in concert halls in North America and Canada. We make a great team of 4-hands on the keyboard, and will play, “You raise me up,” along with “Joyful, joyful, we adore Thee.” It will be fun for everyone!

Here’s a link to a web page advertising the event, “Joyful, Joyful Concert.”

Hope to see you there. Arrive early. It will be crowded.

  1. Hi Evan, I also hope very much it will be recorded – and more, I hope it will then be put into the internet, so that I and all your SpiritView Fans will be able to watch and listen to that immense inspiring music performance of your lovely church all over the world!!!

  2. I have to say that this is pretty cool. Many of us are musicians and make use of this for church in ways like participating in selection of music for Sunday soloists. But to actually be able to perform for others in a church environment.. that is really a great opportunity!

  3. What a wonderful blessing for your community! Every year our church sponsors a “Festival of Music and Art” which is similar. Have fun!

  4. What a lovely event to share with your community. It seems to me that it’s such a wonderful way for people to discover that Christian Scientists aren’t so mysterious! The universal beauty of music is something that all can share and enjoy. I too hope there is a recording.
