  1. Thank you Evan!

This is just what I needed today to help me keep going.
This is a great reminder to me that I am going in the right direction and to keep going.

  2. Thank you! “We must look where we would walk, and we must act as possessing all power from Him in whom we have our being”. (S&H 264:10) Acting as possessing all power from Him/Her in whom we have our being, namely Divine Love, is, I feel, only possible if we are actually walking in Divine Love’s direction and at Divine Love’s direction, as Jesus did.

  3. Facing the right directions? Then keep on walking!! What a profound thought! Thank you thank you thank you!

  4. Thanks Evan, this is a wonderful message for me. If I keep going in the right direction how can I ever go wrong

  5. “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6)
This goes for adults as well 🙂

  6. As in this week’s lesson, and we shall hear in our ear which way to go, we will be guided with patience by the Lord. Facing the right direction requires acceptance of the divine principle of being through truth, life and love. If we face that direction walking patiently through God’s divine principle we can have no fear and there will be a song in our heart.

  7. So glad you are accessing some wisdom from the Buddhist Teachings, Evan! We can learn a lot from the Eastern Thought and Spiritual Traditions! Blessings All!

    1. All wisdom, intelligence, understanding comes from God, but he/she uses many avenues to bring it to us.

      1. That’s my sense of it, too. So love all the folks who have gathered here on Evan’s blog page to share their love of good!

  8. What is the right direction?
For me it is the teachings of Christian Science which bases on the spiritual understanding of the Bible and the teachings of Christ Jesus and the great Prophets.
Am grateful I learnt that already in Sundayschool. Thanks Evan for that true Buddhist saying.

  9. Thank you all! The question in Uta’s comment made me think of the following exchange from Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll:

Alice asks “Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?”
“That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” said the Cat.
“I don’t much care where–” said Alice.
“Then it doesn’t matter which way you go,” said the Cat.

So many people these days seem to be wandering aimlessly, not having a clear direction and therefore in despair. But in reality, divine Love is guiding each of us to fulfill our purpose in Christ (God’s spiritual idea). How grateful I am to know this truth about myself and everyone!

As the children of Israel were guided triumphantly through the Red Sea, the dark ebbing and flowing tides of human fear, — as they were led through the wilderness, walking wearily through the great desert of human hopes, and anticipating the promised joy, — so shall the spiritual idea guide all right desires in their passage from sense to Soul, from a material sense of existence to the spiritual, up to the glory prepared for them who love God.

    1. Thank you for sharing the audio program Paul. It was inspiring in many, many ways, but what stood out to me most was Judy Wolff explaining that her mother didn’t require many weeks to recover, including weight that had been lost over many months, but that her mother was completely restored in only about 3 days. It’s easy to think healing resulting from Christian Science treatment has to conform to so-called material laws of recovery, but when we realize “There is no life, truth, intelligence, nor substance in matter.” (S&H pg 468) then we realize we are free from those supposed laws and healing can be instantaneous.

  10. I love the visual for today’s post. There is one person at the very forefront of the arrow, several lagging farther at the back of the arrow, and many scattered further from the arrow, but they are all headed in the right direction. I like to think about us all being on our own, unique journey with God to a full understanding of who and what we really are, God’s very image and likeness.

I listened to a CS audio chat yesterday and the speaker talked about how the prodigal sons first step away from his father to waste his inheritance with riotous living was actually his first step coming back to the father. The idea was to think of his path like a circle and there really was/is only one way or direction to go, back to God. So even when it seems like we or someone is off the path, they aren’t. It’s just their individual journey to God.

There really is only one direction to go. Only one God, Father-Mother of us all. We are one in quality with God “as a ray of light is one with the sun.”

  11. The encouragement shared today is very much appreciated. When the course seems a little rocky. I feel the loving support from the comments. Thank you all

  12. Yesterday, “out of the blue” I was led to bake some tea buscuits for a neighbour and took them over…after a couple hours the neighbour came over to thank me profusely as it was their favourite treat, and the whole family enjoyed them! I knew it was God’s idea, tho I didn’t verbalize that.
We can never go wrong by listening to that inner voice of guidance and direction! Thanks, Evan for your thoughtful posts!

  13. Just like in making a painting, it helps to have your arm already moving when inspiration hits! Thank you as always, Evan.

  14. Thanks so much, Paul, for sharing the link to that very inspiring and helpful talk. It addressed a situation I’ve been facing in a most effectual manner.

  15. Thanks so much, Brian, for that link to a very inspiring and helpful article. The effort continues, but as the Bible promises – I will win. Time is not a factor.
I’m so glad I was inspired to check the comments again and see yours. Thanks again!
