Like the sun keeps shining no matter what storm clouds pass in the path before it’s light, you are divinely empowered to keep on reflecting God’s peace and harmony no matter what mortal mind storm crosses the path ahead of you. Don’t be impressed.
Keep on reflecting! Keep on shining.
Thank you Evan. I will keep on shining !!
Refrain from Hymn 589
Rise and shine, your light has come, / God the everlasting sun. / Christ has given us this light— / Radiate God’s glory.
“I am the place where God shines through, for he and I are one not two.
He wants me where and as I am, I will not fret nor will nor plan.
If I will be relaxed and free, he’ll carry out his work through me.
I can’t find the author.
Thank you, Evan! What a way to start my day! I love the powerful analogies you write each week. They bring such a crisp clear view of how to “see” what it is we need to see! Hugs! Ali
MB, love that poem! Thanks for sharing!! ❤️
Please see Spiritview dt july 29, 2019 : It says the author of the poem is Charles Edwin Markham, born in the 1850s, see one of Brian’s comments.
Thank you Evan for such helping posts, and all commenter as well.
Hi Martine, I was just about to post the very same thing and refer folks to the 7/29/19 SV for the info on poet/lecturer Chrles Edwin Marham. The perfect One Mind at work!
For sure dear Rose !
This was fascinating, reading the July SV. Thank you for suggesting to
read that. It is a lovely poem and I like the message, along with the
previous writings about not letting social media control our thinking,
or anyone else, for that matter. God is in control and like you had
written dear Rose, “The perfect One Mind [is] at work!”
Thank you, of course, too, for today’s beautiful message and photo!
and all of the comments that add to this plethora of wonderful
thoughts.
MB this is just what I needed to be reminded of today. I’ve seen it here on SV a few times over the years but I haven’t thought about it in a while so thank you very much! I love this comforting poem/prayer.
It’s interesting to me that you posted this today (inspired by Evan’s message) because just this morning I was praying and asking God to help me understand more about what it means that “I and my Father are One.” Then I open SV and see this line in the poem, “For He and I are One not two.” Wonderful.
Thank you!
A lovely thought for every day! Thank you for this beautiful concept. It makes my heart sing.
Love this bright and shining message! Even though it is rainy today, it
is heartwarming to know that the sun is still shining, even though it
can not be seen. And if the fog rolls in covering the mountains, so
they can not be seen, I know that they are still there, just as God/Love
is with us always. With a SpiritualView, Love shines regardless of what
mortal sense tries to burden us with. We can sing and shine through
the clouds of stormy thinking and reflect the wonders of God’s dear
Love for us.
Wow, that’s beautiful…the words & the picture.
A wonderful message♥️
Evan two words from your message today jumped out at me. “divinely empowered.” Wow, if I am (we are) divinely empowered to reflect God’s harmony, there is no greater power or authority than that. It gives confidence and removes pressure to feel we have to be the doer of the reflecting or any false sense of ourselves as separate material beings that have to make something happen. Thus the line in the poem kindly shared above by MB, “If I will be relaxed and free, He’ll carry out His work through me.”
lovely thoughts, Rosery. thank you
Rose. that is
