Keep your thinking healthy

I learned many moral and spiritual lessons back in the days when I was a farmer. And one of them was the rule that if you kept your crops healthy and strong, there was much less chance of weeds and disease invading the crops and destroying yield.

If a crop was not watered and fertilized sufficiently, the plants would get off to a weak start. Weeds would sprout up and grow faster than the corn or peas. Weak plants were more susceptible to disease. Yield would be poor.

But seeds that were carefully watched over, watered adequately, fed abundantly and loved on a daily basis would flourish, grow vigorously, become strong, soon filling in the rows so there was no room for weeds to grow. And they would yield bountifully, delivering strong profits to their caretaker.

Our consciousness is a garden of sorts, and it’s full of ideas coming from God. Those ideas are like the seeds farmers plant in their fields.

When the seeds are carefully watched over, nourished and fed abundantly, they take root, grow, and turn into profitable fruit bearing plants. They reap immense gains for the faithful gardener.

But if the seeds, or new born ideas coming from above, are neglected and ignored, they don’t take root. They flounder, stay idle or get off to a poor start in a person’s experience. They don’t bear the fruit they’re capable of delivering. Weeds, or cares of the world, choke them out and keep them from reaching the light of day.

If you want to lead a fruitful life and be engaged with productive activity and reap large harvests of valuable fruit, be sure to watch your garden! Be a faithful steward of God’s inspired ideas coming from divine Mind.

They are present in your consciousness. If you are not too absorbed with dull material sense, you will discern them, jump on the opportunity to run with them and work to ensure their growth into full blown realities. And you will be immensely rewarded in the long run.

Happy gardening!

  1. Once again, thank you for the nudge in the right direction. My garden needs more regular attention, not just in the morning but all day long. I appreciate this site.

  2. Hi Evan,

This is only the second topic of inspirational beauty I have stumbled across on your site. Feel a trend of searching and learning new things about myself and what of Gods fertiliser I need…

I’m starting to stop asking about things that are placed on my garden, but moreso remove those things with Gods divine help…

See to me – asking God is like the yield we need so much in our life…

I have been replenishing my life without Gods fertiliser (his way and his words) and relying upon society to dictate what I need.

I am at the crossroads yet again…

Your sharing have inspired me and I ask that you pray for my strength to walking consciously with the Lord..

    God Bless

    All the way from Australia
    Robert
