  1. Evan you have made me cry. Tears of …gratitude. Unfortunately the person I would have called has passed on but this video is such a reminder, such a wake-up call! there are other people still around for whom I can feel such gratiutde! Including you, and your wonderful, inspiritng posts that start my day, every day.
    Blessings, and…gratitude.

  2. My wife is that one individual that brings such happiness for which I am most grateful each day. It is the “little” things, e.g. as she has pre-forgiven all others’ foolish ways. Hymn #50. Such love! My gratitude is to return with like love, but that is not easy. I have to work at it. It is so natural for her. She lives love and with Love.

  3. Evan, this is precious. Gratitude takes us out of our selves! That is why we are happier when we express it. Lovely exercise! I love Sunshine’s comments about his wife. “She lives love and with Love.” What a tribute.

  4. Wow! A great experiment…it is true that when you express gratitude, you are allowing LOVE to fill you up full. I thought it was great that they actually had the people call and tell the person who has influenced them in such positive ways, just how much they mean to them. Just think, if everyone would do this, there would be so much goodness to share and yes, it starts with each of us! Grateful I read this today and will continue to be thankful for all good things! WE have to remember that Gratitude is Healing!

  5. gulp.

    powerful

    gratitude

    is.

    thank you dear dear Evan.

thank You dear dear dear Father-Mother-God, for finding so many
many ways to reach our human needs.

  6. From studying C/S all these years has taught me that gratitude goes together with being happy. There is a whole list that I could make of people in my life that inspired me. Inspiration is a gateway to happiness and there to is a reason to be grateful.

  7. Evan I also cried and made a list in my heart of everybody I am grateful to for their being good and loving in so many ways in my life. I do see them as the expressions of God’s being present in my life all the way through! I also loved Sunshine’s comment on his wife loving and living Love. That, for me was also a proof of true marriage!

Thank you always with much gratitude for you and your wonderful work!

  8. Thank you Evan. Doctors are now aware that “appreciation audits” (gratitude) makes you more than just happy. The Institute of Heart-Math, a California science foundation, monitored heart rhythms, and during anger the rhythms were jerky and random and during appreciation it was smooth and ordered. Without getting too medical, during active appreciation your brain, heart and endrocine system work in synchrony and heal in harmony. Most important of all, it is a fact of neurology that the brain cannot be in a state of appreciation and a state of fear at the same time. The two states are mutually exlclusive. Christian Science, with one spiritual cause and one spiritual effect, takes the physical out of the equation, but it is interesting that the medical profession is now becoming more aware of consciousness and the power of love.

    1. Aw, that’s interesting. Thanks for sharing! I like the part about the mind can’t be in a state of appreciation and fear at the same time. A good rule for healing.

  9. I love everything about gratitude. It indeed fills all space with good thoughts. Whenever I
felt out of sorts I would turn to gratitude. I’d keep a daily list of things for which I was
grateful. I remember a dear friend telling me if you can’t think of anything , be grateful for
the white line down the middle of the road. That really helped to expand my thought. My cousin ,Diana is a special person on my list. She has spoken Truth to me over these many years. She has given me trips, and even financial support. I call her all the time and I always let her know how much I love her. I have also written these expressions in letters
and cards. Practically every email to my daughter ends with “love you”. I feel we should
let others know how special and wonderful they are to us. Loved the video.

  10. Wow, what a beautiful message and reminder of the healing power of gratitude! Thank you!
