“Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.”

Listen for God’s point of view before speaking!

  1. To “be quick to listen, slow to speak” and slow to comment are right ideas to religiously practice. It falls under discipline that leads to Christliness and thus to healing. I need this reminder. Sometimes it is so easy to comment at things than “Listening for God’s point of view before speaking”. Thank you Evan.

  2. What? The Universe doesn’t need another human opinion? Ohhhhhhhhh.

As someone (Bible?) has said: How about silence for a half hour?
    Or something like that.

What a shocking idea! What a relief that would be, huh!

Thank you for this excellent reminder today, Evan. God has infinitely better
and wiser things to say on any subject than human minds do!!!

    ;<))

  3. Wonderful advice, too bad not many people follow it all the time, including yours truly. Thanks for the reminder!!! I will strive to listen better. The trouble is too many of us say “Listen Lord for thy servant speaketh” instead of being like Samuel and saying, “Speak Lord for thy servant heareth.” We are all to anxious to tell God what we think the answer should be. Silly us!

  4. My ears have never gotten me in hot water; my mouth, on the other hand…. When we really listen – enter into the closet – we hear our tender loving father mother Love guiding us, don’t we?
