Worry stems from trust in evil.  Calm and dominion result from trust in good.

Trust in good, not in evil.  Live worry free!

  1. Trust in evil OR trust in good…those are the only two choices. I know which I choose. Thank you for sharing such a powerful message in such a simple format. I love it.

  2. Well, if you live in Australia, you will get used to people saying “No worries!” very cheerfully, as this is a very common way of saying “Yes, for sure! Easy! Fine! I’ll be there! or “Sure I’ll do that thing!”
So now, thanks to Evan, I will think about not trusting in evil or the possibility of evil, when I hear that said (which is often)

    1. Very interesting Diane. “No worries” is often my catch phrase when I receive an apology, or a request from someone to do something (I’m a Christian Science nurse in California). Of course, heeding Evan’s counsel to trust in good is the best way. Thanks for sharing.

  3. There seems to be so much to worry about these days, so Thank You for
this short, but profound message of who is in control … God. Sometimes
we just need to take a break and be calm and know that our – real being is ..
being a child of God. This Principle, Mind is the Soul of our Life, our Spirit,
our Truth, the Love that comforts us in the worries that seem to be.
Very comforting and reassuring to have this ever presence with us always.
Spiritual truth really does brighten our day.

  4. I recall MAD magazine back in the day, like 60 years ago…. What? me worry ?

I have reached a point in this journey to realise there is no “me” to worry, intellectually I get it. In practice I am perfecting this. Thank you

    Cheers all.

    1. Hi John, I remember Mad Magazine and that character, I think he was called Alfred E. Neuman that always said, “What, me worry?” Boy that is a blast from the past.

But you are so right that there is no separate “me” to worry or experience anything that error tries to tempt us with, trying to get us to ruminate on and get thought involved with. We are always just harmoniously expressing the Mind of God. I think we are all working to get this, see this, more deeply and consistently, I sure am. Thanks for the reminder.

      1. Thank you, Rose and John
And Evan for thinking there is
This way or the other way.
So simple but be able easily to touch the small part, the small garment of the infinite Truth, and
        No choice but to heal.

      1. The “me” that really is each one of us is constantly getting all thoughts from God, who is streaming all pure holy thinking to us. In Scripture “I know the thoughts I think toward you saith the Lord, thoughts of peace not of evil, to give you an expected end.” In other words to give you a perfect result. We pray to our loving Father-Mother, ask, listen and trust we are being cared for and tenderly guided by pure Love, holding us close, keeping us safe. Then we lose any sense of “worried me”.

  5. Worry stems from trust in evil. So stand Porter at the door of thought and obedience to Truth alone helps to not to see error in such a world of different material beliefs and spiritual perspective can help us to uplift our thoughts to Good n God only otherwise very difficult. Thanx Evan sir.

  6. a glib expression..from the past.. when one thought there were dead ends..
‘expect the worst then it won’t be as bad..’
    what a drain ..
as If ‘ Intelligence ‘ can be anything but Perfect,
“Right On” …that expression’s a wonderful fit, too,.. seamless …

    1. Hi Tina, tI remember that expression about expecting the worst, it is straight from mortal mind. The spiritual perspective would say the opposite, when we pray we have the divine right to have the full expectancy of Good. God, good alone.

  7. A great way to explain worry! what a waste of energy and time it is. Don’t waste your time just stop the worrying! thank you all.

  8. This is a very good question, Jeanne, and I’ll do my best to respond. In the book of Exodus in the Bible, God told Moses His name was I Am. In Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy.explains that man in God’s image and likeness (see Genesis 1:26,27) is the reflection of “The great I Am,” as God is defined on page 587, and page 475. The definition of Mind on page 591 begins “The only I, or Us.”
In speaking of the First Commandment, “Thou shalt have no other gods before Me,” she says “This Me is Spirit” Therefore, each one of us, in spiritual reality, has no identity except as God’s reflection, no separate mind or self.
Your consciousness and individuality are the expressions of the Mind that is God. Since Mind, God, is the only creator and knows only good, Mind does not worry, and we as Mind’s reflections have no little minds of our own to worry with.
    I hope this is helpful.

  9. Mrs Eddy wrote this in Science and Health:
“Your decisions will master you, whichever direction they take.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 392:22)
It’s so helpful to stop the ‘worrying thinking’ with all-abiding Truth and Love, knowing such thinking has dominion over any thoughts, including mortal and material suggestions and beliefs. Very helpful reminder and thought for today – thank you !
