Are you waiting for a healing to occur? Wait no longer.
Healing happens as thought changes. Disease, suffering, pain, and their kin, are states of mortal mind that can be revised, improved, and eliminated.
Jesus Christ often told those he healed that their faith played a major role in their healing. As he said to one man he healed of blindness, “Your faith has healed you,” (Mark 10:52). This is very encouraging to hear, because it signifies that what appears to be a fixed physical condition in a person’s body is a mental state that can be improved. And thought can always change for the better.
In our prayers for relief, it’s helpful to remember that thought is never stuck. Mind is always fluid, limber, flexible. It can always change, revise, improve, and go to a better place. And the best way to get to a better place is with spiritual truth leading the way.
God created you perfect, in the divine image and likeness. Health is a permanent part of your being as a child of God. You never lose it in matter. It’s always present in Spirit. It’s not lost over time. It’s ever-present to feel and experience all the time!
“Consciousness constructs a better body when faith in matter has been conquered. Correct material belief by spiritual understanding, and Spirit will form you anew.”
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 425)
Thank you Evan,so much, for this SpiritView!
I needed to hear this; put this way!!!
Yes! Well said, indeed ! So grateful for this clear statement re NOW and FAITH. Thank you!
The Christ is here, and it heals ✨️ Praise divine Love ❤️
Thank you, Evan. The way you explain this is so helpful to me. I am very grateful to read your words tonight. The words from Hymn 144 have been in my thought – “In atmosphere of Love divine, we live and move and breathe”.
Wow, this is so perfectly stated … what a gift!
As we can only think one thought at a time…. Let’s make it positive and uplifting.
‘’What blesses one ,blesses all. ‘’
Thank you Evan❣️
Just love this Evan! Back to the basics of CS. And that’s why there’s no such thing as an incurable disease because we can always change our thought about the condition. Love this! Thank you. ❣️
Ditto to everyone who commented above. Thank you Evan, this is so perfectly and comprehensively stated,
and with such a positive ring about it – so loving and
caring. This is very helpful for me and supportive of
my own prayers for healing fpr myself and others.
What a rich spiritual statement and spiritual food for all, we can see others as God sees them.
Thank you Evan
Thank you All at SV!
So clear! And incredibly helpful. Thank you.
Good clarity, thanks Evan…
Thank you so much Evan! Just EXACTLY what I needed yo hear this morning. I am so grateful for the Truth you share with us through SpiritView!!
There is something so freeing and achievable about the concept of improving your thought. I love this idea.
For some, it is not so easy to “just change your thought”.
It also makes one feel “It’s your fault if you can’t be healed”.
Dear Doris, I agree, from my own experience, that many times it seems far from easy to change false beliefs/erroneous thoughts that try to attach themselves to us (a.k.a. mortal mind’s offerings).
We may have the idea that we, as seeming material beings, have to somehow force ourselves to think differently in order to see healing demonstrated. Perhaps it is more of a yielding to what God already knows about us (spiritual understanding) , He is the one that does the heavy lifting, so we can rest and receive it. We are not the doers: the belief that we are is more of mortal mind’s subtle attempt to manipulate our thought. I pray to know that you can never, never feel that any seeming delay in healing is ever your fault in any way. You are simply loved.
Thank you, Rose.
I always appreciate your thoughtful comments- so loving and inspiring and hope filled !
Thank you Doris for your kind reply, Happy New Year and many blessings!
“Thoughts worth thinking” By Mark Swinney. From the March 22, 2018 issue of The Christian Science Monitor:

Thank you, Evan. The message in today’s SpiritView is awesome! And thank you, J. Mark Swinney’s article pairs beautifully with today’s blog. Another rich find that you continue to share with us all. ♥️
You’re welcome Cheryl. xo
Thank you for sharing this article. I have been mentally making my own pie chart. It’s quite an eye opener to see how much time I spend with not so good thoughts. I’m delighted to know that I can improve my thoughts and will start today.
Timeless article. Thank you for sharing !
The statement above, ” … thought can always change for the better.
It can always change, revise, improve, and go to a better place. And the best way
to get to a better place is with spiritual truth leading the way”. Thank you!
Very helpful in realizing that we can not let the past define us. Like awakening
from a mortal nighttime dream, no matter how hard we may try to go back to
being in that dream, for however, either good or bad the dream was, when awakened,
it can not happen when we realize it was Only a dream and not real. And so too, with
mortal sense. Material ways may seem to get us stuck into believing them, but their
unreality fades as quickly as false beliefs in a nightmare or any state of mortal mind
we think we are in.
How wonderful, Evan, n o. waiting for healing – we are God’s spiritual perfect child. n o w. I’m very grateful for your today’s healing inspirations – it’s so very needed and helpful!
It is so good what you say, namely getting to a better place is with spiritual truth leading the way! Yes, praying daily that God may lead the way is it!!
Many thanks and Love to all! ❤️
Love to you, Uta. I’m always grateful to read your remarks about Christian Science and God’s love. They often are last in the comments due to the time change but please know they are enjoyed by me and all! Happy 2026, dear Uta. It’s nearly here!
Thank you Cheryl. It’s so lovely what you mention. Yes and a happy new year 2026 to you too! yes, it’s another time zone here – it’s 4.30am and I will find some nice sleep now.
yes, God’s Love for us all is for sure and God is everpresent, with us all. That is so comforting.
Hymn 382
What is thy birthright man, child of the perfect one. What is thy Father’s plan for his beloved son.
This is not only the birthright of Jesus at Christmas, but the birth, the source of our thinking. A man I need to change my thinking about has this birthright and so do I—thoughts born of Truth and Love. Born in the humility of a manger.
Thou art Truth’s honest child, of pure and sinless heart, thou treadest undefiled, in christly paths apart.
The labels I have heard of drug dealer and thief are dissolving, so are temptations to think sad and angry thoughts and place blame. (A package to a loved one and his dear wife and children, carefully prepared for months was taken from his doorstep, opened and emptied of useful contents and loving messages—the only thing left behind under a bush was Scottish shortbread baked especially for the lovely wife). But God told me to listen to the Sentinel Watch this week and it is on…..forgiveness. Then this hymn came. Slowly at first, but as I changed my thought from victim and truly let myself think that God is Fathering and Mothering that man’s thoughts and mine I felt strengthened. Everything in that box was sourced in the power of love, and whoever touches the contents has a spiritual connection to divine Love that says, “Thou are Truth’s honest child, of pure and sinless heart.” This is the Christ being born in my thoughts, heart and spirit. It is God doing it, yes, but I turn to Him to do it. I yield to the nudging to listen to the Sentinel watch in the middle of the night, and yield to pondering this hymn and the wonderful Christmas message of love—may whoever took the presents know the love that motivated sending them is embracing him too. Let him know the Father’s plan is love for him, God’s beloved son.
Well worked through, Kay – you certainly set about getting your thoughts right, exchanging the false
material beliefs about man with the spiritual truths,
and being receptive Christ’s directions.
I am sure it must have done a lot of good. Thank you
for sharing.
Kay thank you for sharing your wonderful spiritual reasoning with us, it is very helpful to me. It is powerful and true and can be applied in many situations. Beautiful healing of your thought. Glad to see you acknowledge that it is God that does the work of uplifting thought, and that our part is to turn to Him, humbly, and follow His loving direction and leadings.
What a wonderful, inspiring and healing message. Your daily inspirations help so much. Thank you, Evan, for SpiritView!!
Thank you,, Evan, for these daily thoughts. So grateful that you provide this site for all. Happy New Year!
As everyone has stated. A great post. All your stuff is spot on however this one hits especiallyhome for me. Thank You, and to everyone who contributes to this site.
I wrote down this quote, but not the author: “When we insist on our victimhood, when we rehearse its circumstances and keep it alive in thought, we blind ourselves to the power and help of Christ to deliver us from it all. We become fossilized in the layers of mortal mind. But if we refuse to consent to victimhood or if we withdraw our consent – and it’s never too later to do that – the uninterrupted activity of good and Christ’s healing power become clearer to us than the morning sun. A day with the Lord is a day full of blessings and goodness. There is nothing to prevent anyone from moving away from being a victim to being a victor over evil. It is Christ’s great love that shows us the way.”
Well, it’s a wrap for Christmas 2025… Some of us were excluded from an event, which made me feel sad. I was having feelings of resentment toward the person that excluded us, and this statement was very helpful and comforting to me.
Everyone is included in the divine Event of Christ’s appearing! Everyone has a seat at His banquet table. You too!
Love this thought Evan. Thank you so much for sharing it. 🙂
dear J, thank you for the article by Mark Swinney, so helpful and suitable. ♡
Oh thank you Evan!. I enjoy the Lords banquet table and having a seat there among all the friends in divine Love, keenly awaiting Christ’s appearing! 🙂
Love that, Evan and Uta. Christ is here … with all of the spiritual
blessings and a banquet of Love is here for us all.
