Patience is power

Our patience will achieve more than our force.

~ Edmund Burke

If ever tempted to yell and scream, cajole, resort to human will and muscle your way through a situation you dislike, take a moment to consider what brings the best effect.

Is it the exercise of strong human will that brings the best results, or maybe a little more patience, and listening for divine Mind’s direction that brings about the best solution?

Patience gives us time to hear what God has to say.

  1. Wait patiently for divine Love to move upon the waters of mortal mind, and form the perfect concept. Patience must “have her perfect work.” (SH 454:22)

  2. My Grandma did not quote much but this one I remember distinctly. “Patience and perseverance over cometh all difficulties “. She was very wise!

  3. Patience is love; I´ve thought about this quality recently, and found out that being patient is also loving. Thank you for the title, Patience is power!

  4. Thank you, Evan for this healing topic!
Patience with our friends, neighbors etc. and even with ourself is indeed love expressed. This divine quality is given us from God and is therefore a healing idea!
Thanks Susana, I’m quite conform with your comment!

    1. If you scroll to the bottom of the above article to “Related stories” there should be an openable/shareable article, “My healing of a bad burn”. It talks about having patience with a physical healing.

    2. Ohhhh…thank you, J, for responding to God’s idea to share this helpful article on patience.

      1. Hi SpiritView Fan, I like what you said, that when we share here on SV we are actually responding to God’s leading on what would be most helpful to us and others, whether it is a comment, hymn, article, poem or thought. Divine Mind is leading.

Evan thanks for the topic patience is power. Yes it is, it is a type of humility, which we discussed here yesterday and also the day before when the topic was, the quieter and more still we are the more we can hear God. Maggie had mentioned the wonderful verse from Psalms, “Be still and know that I am God.”

To which I added the below (forgive me for the repeat but sometimes things are good to hear again):

“-In the stillness, mortal mind cannot invade, but rather we are at rest in our natural state, hearing only God.

Be still and know that I am God
        Be still and know
        Be still
        Be.”

  5. The impressions around when listening to people doing alot, to have felt envious,
feeling unkind and to myself when a long case of physical limitations has’ seemed ‘to be a Torch to carry.. It really takes turning everything upside down to see healing is always engaged.. the thought came .. “Who do you think you married ? ” Love.
To understand God as ones best friend and partner.. really takes appreciating His sense of Humour .. this is humility…Evan has responded to an e-mail.. I haven’t yet read it.. To be close, infused with SpiritViewers.. Thank you Thank you Thanks again

  6. Little or no patience shows that we have too much self-will and not enough Patience . thank you for the correction as patience is hard to come by, after all we want the right answer to our question or situation and we are waiting on God to explain to us what we need to think and do. See as He sees. Thanks Evan and all.
