Patience and Perseverance Pay Off

“When troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.”

~ James 1:2, NLT

  1. Thanks Evan for the reminder this morning that even when a healing hasn’t been seen humanly yet, it’s there already. I think of joy as a quality of gratitude and each step of progress is cause for being joyously grateful!!

  2. I see challenges or problems as a lesson to show, demonstrate, or express all that we really are as reflections of God. Some of these qualities we may never have used before. These tests can be like the mirror that lets us see all these wonderful qualities that God is expressing in us. In order to meet the challenge we have to claim & use these qualities that are all part of our identity as God’s idea.

  3. I sometimes think back to the time when I was bringing my children up..these were definitely the most difficult years of my life but I LEARNT SO MUCH in that time ! If I am ever tempted to feel doubt , fear or worry now, I just remember how many amazing and wonderful proofs I had of God’s care on a daily basis for over 20 years.
Today nothing has changed in God’s universe as in Jesus time and its good for me to remember that.
