  1. Love this, Evan. It is so true that as we truly understand our Father/Mother God as a the Heavenly Parent who bestows all good on His children universally, we gain confidence and lose anxiety. What a simple but profound prescription for living a stressless life. Thank you for sharing and thanks to Max Lucado too!

  2. What a Perfect reminder, Evan! Thank You! And just what I need right now. These challenging times tend to be stressful, but being calm and Knowing that our Father/Mother is there with a plan takes the burden off of us and is usually a much better plan than we can concoct ourselves. Have a peaceful day Everyone

  3. Thanks for sharing this. I remember reading a blog by Max Lucado just before the election;
    indeed an anxiety-buster!
“I have a prediction. I know exactly what November 9 (election day) will bring.
Another day of God’s perfect sovereignty. He will still be in charge. His throne will
still be occupied. He will still manage the affairs of the world. Never before has His
providence depended on a king, president or ruler. And it won’t on this day.
‘The Lord can control a king’s mind as he controls a river, he can direct it as he
    pleases.’ Proverbs 21:1 NCV”

    – who is Max Lucado ? –

    1. Dear Uta,

      1. thank you very much, dear Beatrice, very loving of you to send the link.
I you click at that link you find comprehensive infos about Max Lucado, interesting.

I just ordered that book of Max Lucado to see what good thoughts he is offering. 🙂

        1. Uta, also check out his children’s books. My absolute favorite is You are Special. Its about little Wooden people called Wemicks. They reward each other with stars for doing amazing tricks or dots for being clumsy. The main characters, one has gray dots all over him and one has no stars or dots. Max Lucado illustrates how Gods opinion is the only one that matters and no matter what anybody thinks about you, God always Loves you and made you perfect in his image and likeness. I first heard this story many years ago at Camp Bow-Isle, a Summer camp for young Christian Scientist. It has stuck with me ever since. I hope you enjoy it. https://youtu.be/15QuHygLwFU
Hopefully the link will work. It is a YouTube video of the book.

          1. Hi, dear Heather, the link worked, and I did enjoy the lovely story.
thank you so much for it! 🙂

  6. All the Love
    that I Am,
    All the Love
    My Father
    and Mother
    are, this
    Love they made
    me with.
    Pure, conscious,
    living Love.
    This Love is
    all I can be,
    all I can know,
    all that I Am…..!

    1. …for ever and eternity …! 🙂

thank you Maximo for another lovely and inspiring poem and very suitable for today`s theme of Evan`s so simple but true SpiritView.

  7. Beatrice- that was so loving and kind of you to share Max Lucado’s info with Uta! It underscores the reality of being a united family and not a chaotic mixture of infinite mortals I just thought it was very sweet! Everyone, have a blessed day!!

  8. Thank you Evan for this reminder of the power of the understanding of God. And thank you Patricia for the anxiety-buster…God’s “control of the universe including man.” I don’t ever remember reading Proverbs 21:1 Excellent! We can include all our state and federal representatives and all the rulers of the nations too in this truth. I think often of the account in the Bible of Saul. It’s possible for Christ to uplift the thought of all who seem to be overcome with evil. I will daily claim this truth to be true to help our world move forward in peace. ~j~

  9. Thanks to Evan for sharing this excellent quote from Max Lucado.

And thanks to Heather for sharing You Are Special, my all-time favorite Lucado book! The first time I read it, years ago, I loved the metaphysical message I got from it, encouraging us to see ourselves as God sees us, not as limited mortal thought sees. And I love that in the quote above, he encourages people to know that they can understand God.

That’s one of the things I have always appreciated about Mrs. Eddy’s teachings, drawn directly from Jesus’ words and works – that God is not unknowable, for we are His ideas; and that we are always as close to Him as thought. What a comfort!
