In the U.S. there is a popular saying that goes:
That’s the best thing since sliced bread!
In thinking about this I realized what is actually meant is “That’s the best thing since the IDEA of sliced bread”. For centuries people have been celebrating the realization of new, wonderful ideas.
The Christ, as explained in Science and Health “…is the true idea voicing good, the divine message from God to men speaking to the human consciousness.” (see page 332) The Christ, therefore, is God’s all harmonious right idea of each and every thing, including each of us. The Christ is the truth about everything. When we entertain that truth in thought, it’s like hearing God’s voice sharing His/Her tangible good with us.
This Christmas, whether you are celebrating by yourself or with other people, remember to “entertain” the Christ idea. If you are by yourself, enjoy being able to give your full focus to the Christ idea in consciousness. If you are with others, enjoy entertaining the Christ idea of yourself and each person you are with.
