Some wise words of advice for getting along better with other people….
If you don’t want other people to find objectionable things about you, be sure that you are not finding objectionable things about them!
As the apostle Paul writes, “You have no excuse, O man, whoever you are, when you judge another; for in passing judgment upon him you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, are doing the very same things” (Romans 2:1, RSV).
See the good in everyone so they can see the good in you.
Beautifully put. Thank you.
I try to remember to think of others with the Christ view as Jesus did. Not always easy but the best way. Thank you for SpiritView Evan and all who contribute.
Thank you, Evan. Your remarks are so important to remember. Yet mortal mind would make them so easy to forget by trying to mesmerize us into focusing on personal sense and self-righteousness..
Thank you for this reminder Evan! I try to see them the way Jesus did…”Jesus beheld in Science the perfect man…” (the Scientific Statement of Being).
Blessings to all.
Adding my thank you here for you, Evan, and all of the comments, too.
A blessed way to start our days!!
Amen – “a blessed way to start our days”
Thank you Evan and everyone. ❤️
Excerpt from the Cedars Camp Metaphysical by Christie Hanzlik, CS. Bible Lesson on “God”, January 2, 2021 (SECTION 6):

“If we see someone as a personality, then we’re, in effect, seeing them as having a personal power from a source other than God. If we’re distracted by thoughts about someone else needing to change, or even that we’re not getting it…. we’re harboring a false view that we could somehow be disconnected from divine Love. In contrast, as we see one another only as the outpouring of divine Love’s power, we gain a deeper sense of our shared connection to Christ. We thus gain a love for one another that eclipses the belief of personality, and we are more and more open to hear God’s voice, to feel the influx of the Holy Ghost—the pure inspiration of divine Life, Truth, and Love.”
Late yesterday, Trista very kindly attached a shareable link to Evan’s excellent article:
“Weight-wishing?” By Evan Mehlenbacher. From the February 21, 2000 issue of The Christian Science Sentinel. Attaching it again in case you weren’t able to open it:

Thanks, J, for this link to Christie Hanzlik, C.S. metaphysical on GOD.
Just what I needed this morning.
This is so true but very hard to do sometimes. Letting go of the “I know what’s best for you” thinking when you are worried about someone is difficult. But, remembering that God is their source as well as yours helps. We are all on different journeys but they are all God ordained.
Today’s spirit view is perfect for me.

I love this today . Thank you so very much.
This reminds me of the following passage in the Bible:
¶ Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; (Isaiah 62:10)
When I read the above, I think of setting out on a journey, possibly by car, and finding the road in front blocked – scattered with debris – and we, along with other carloads of people, can’t proceed on our way forward. So we have to get out of the car, and help with other drivers and
passengers, to gather up that debris, remove the stones and debris etc. scattered across the road, to make a clear passage for ourselves and everyone else with us, to go forward and continue on our journey together. The road is now clear, after we have done the necessary work, and safe for us to proceed on our way together with the friends we have made in this exercise, as we worked together harmoniously.
I see this as our spiritual journey, helping each other prayerfully and lovingly,
to find our true pathway together through various trials that may beset our way and
would try and block our spiritual road which we journey on together.
I read somewhere that we can’t enter heaven without taking everyone with us. Christ is with us
all, lighting out way.safely onward together.
Thank you, Evan. Your inspiration is always so helpful.
Thankyou Evan, This is an eye awaking moment for me. very well put and understandable. I’ll be putting this into practice. Thankyou all for the comments!
