It seems to me that there is ample room for more love, compassionate understanding and less hatred to be circulating in the public consciousness these days. Wars, political divisions, family feuds, all point to opportunities for lessons in love to be learned and implemented. And the sooner the better!
These words by Mary Baker Eddy, about the destructive nature of hate, arrested my attention:
“The moral abandon of hating even one’s enemies excludes goodness. Hate is a moral idiocy let loose for one’s own destruction. Unless withstood, the heat of hate burns the wheat, spares the tares, and sends forth a mental miasma fatal to health, happiness, and the morals of mankind…” (Miscellany, p. 249).
If we desire to live a life filled with love, peace, and harmony, we cannot harbor hatred toward neighbors. We must learn to love them.
Love does not overlook evil. Love neutralizes evil and renders it harmless.
I pray that we all learn how to love more and hate less. The world will feel a good effect.
Thank you, Evan for this reminder of the power of love to disolve hate neutralizing any thought not to be love to be harmless.
Amen!
Thank you, Evan-
I woke up in the middle of the night with what Mrs. Eddy tells us in her Miscellaneous Writings, “More love is the great need of mankind.” (p. 107:11 (only)) She knew what she was talking about and it feels like she is speaking to what ails our nation and world today. I pray for divine Love to be seen and felt in every human heart and melt all sense of hatred and evil and “Let brotherly love continue.” (Heb. 13:1)
Thanks again, Evan!
Thank you, Evan.
Those words, truths, by Mrs. Eddy, I’ll post above my desk.
We must strive to live The Golden Rule, not just recite it .
And learn to love (and see) ourselves and others as God’s beloved, innocent, pure children, incapable of being manipulated or hypnotized by evil’s suggestions.
Love divinely understood and practiced all throughout our day is the liberator and cure of hatred without end.
Thank you SV for this loving and powerful message of Love.
God is doing the loving all of God loves God is all there is to love. Nothing can separate us from the Love of God.
Thank you for sharing this exquisite citation from Mrs. Eddy. It is so very much needed in everyone’s thoughts and actions, especially in these days and times. If someone else isn’t doing that, we need to project it and ripple it outward all the more. Thank you, Evan!
This is such a pertinent message for what seems to be going on in the
world today. Seeing each other as children of God – with the same
love and compassion that Father/Mother comforts us all with, helps to
heal a world that is craving for it.
The graphic above reminds me (like from the paper snowflake creations from
the previous spirit view) of where, cut outs of a paper chain unites us all
by holding hands, rather than division amongst our fellow universal
siblings – divided and separated (as md above and the Bible states) –
from the Love of God. In Spiritual thought and Love, we are all united
in one grand brotherhood, equalizing each of us and eliminating hatred of
any kind. What a wonderful world if we all lived the message of Love
shared here today.
Thank you, Evan! Amen (so be it) is right!
This article addresses how to love when it seems hardest (ie our “enemies”).

Wonderful message Evan . Thank you .
It’s the most important message! Thanks a lot, Evan.
Love, Love, Love is the Healer and Comforter!
The Bible says that Love is the greatest of all precious qualities given us by God!♡
Oh, there were moments in which I prayed to my Father-Mother God to teach me to love more – God, myself and my neighbors. That is so important for the worldpeace! ♡
Thanks to L. for the article. One needs time to read that and will do tomorrow as its midnight here presently.
But should we not also have wisdom? We can love tigers, but we don’t let them roam free in our streets.
