We were supposed to sail to Homer and Kodiak after Anchorage, but stormy weather changed ship plans. Instead, we hightailed it east across the Gulf of Alaska to Glacier Bay. And what a treat lay ahead!
The Park Forest Ranger who narrated the trip into Glacier Bay said it was the best weather she had seen there in five years.
Wonderful pictures! It’s interesting to see these as compared to some a friend took about 12 years ago…the glaciers were MUCH bigger then — no ground was visable.
