Set yourself up for the good life

“Don’t love the world’s ways. Don’t love the world’s goods. Love of the world squeezes out love for the Father. Practically everything that goes on in the world—wanting your own way, wanting everything for yourself, wanting to appear important—has nothing to do with the Father. It just isolates you from him. The world and all its wanting, wanting, wanting is on the way out—but whoever does what God wants is set for eternity.”

  1. Such a beautiful thought Evan. The one who seeks God and His goodness is always satisfied and happy. In fact God is all that we need and if we have God we have the world at our feet.
Thanks for the daily inspirations Evan. They are so fulfilling and take us to new heights of happiness. God bless.

  2. Wanting indicates a belief of lack. A separation or division of thought. Eddy ,”Cause does not exist in matter, mortal mind or physical forms”

  3. I had a funny dream last night about the world today and what our society deems most important. A Lecturer of strong repute gave his audience what he thought most important to think about in this so-called modern age. “And I tell you, Ladies and Gentlemen, if you want to live the good life, ask your Doctor if you should do the following; how long is it safe to sleep, 4 hours, 8 hours or more. Should I exercise more or less, what is safe to eat, Steak, vegetables, or fruit? And on and on. The Doctor being the execlure of Life and none else. Some one in the audience raised his hand, stood up and asked the $64 thousand dollar question,–Oh, tell us brilliant Lecturer, WHERE IS GOD IN ALL THIS? The Lecturer took a moment and then answered–OH! HE QUIT A LONG TIME AGO!”
