Smile! Have you ever noticed how easily puppies make human friends? Yet all they do is wag their tails and fall over.

  1. Thank you Evan. Children smile at adults in a bid to get their attention. They would always want them to give it back to them. They usually persist until the smile is returned. What can we make of this?

    1. haha Grace, I myself mostly smile at babies and children, and I wait and smile so long until Baby or child smiles back to me. And that is so very nice then, and it makes me happy to see them smile! 🙂
Thank you Evan for today`s foto, it makes me smile and happy, as well!

        1. Thanks dear Jane, I love your posts, too. And I think everyones post here is lovely. And we are all so blessed and loved ideas of our Father-Mother God!♡♡♡

  2. No doubt Smile makes quick friends Evan sir. Whenever we smile at a stranger or at a person with whom we have resentment or angry at our kids or even (as sometimes we hear in social groups- fake smile) has the power to uplift the moods of others, creating healthier relationships and bringing happiness in the environment . Even clicking photographs, we say cheese. Thanks once again for making us smile.

    1. Love this idea, thanks Dave. Tail wagging expresses their inner joy, I guess our smiles are the equivalent. Smiling just feels so good. Even materially speaking, I’ve read that when we smile hormones are released that remove stress and make us feel happy; spiritually it is the outward manifestation of our always-available inner Joy.

    1. This is a very helpful article, J , as are all of the ones you share. Thank you! I recall, when
being in a similar situation as the author and having to start over with everything, and
after more than two decades of writing every single one of their checks, on time, without
ever an issue, and it being a small town bank, they said I had no credit, because the card
I had used, (which had been canceled), had not had my name first, which, was eventually
given. So many things seemed devastating, like that, but little by little I became stronger,
with God’s support and Love and things eventually became at first bearable and then things became brighter. Btw, as I was typing this, I looked out the window, just at the right timing to see a most beautiful rainbow, which is odd, being it has been a sunny day all day. But it was almost like a sign, that Yes, God IS always very present and Has been with me, and all of
us, all along. I was going to reflect on today’s joyous topic, with pg.266, from Mrs. Eddy’s S&H:
“[Man]/woman,child/dog… is the idea of Spirit; he reflects the beatific presence, illuming the universe with light”….
and “coexists with God and the universe”. How perfect this statement was/is and brought a
huge smile along with this “smile” of God’s rainbow!!!

    2. Thank you, dear “J” for this Link! It is a very uplifting testimony. The testifyer tells us clearly the way and mental steps leading to that wonderful and permanent healing.♡

  3. This joyous photo certainly makes me smile this morning. It brings to mind for me the joyous qualities of Spirit, another name for God in the Bible.. I can’t help but to smile back with absolute delight!

  4. Oh, what a sweet, lovable, exuberant little boy and dog! How delightful! The dog
reminds me of a beloved golden-mix, Angel Leah, I had adopted from a shelter, who had
been hit by a car before being taken to the shelter. She was diagnosed by the shelter vet
to always be handicapped and had been at the shelter for almost a year, because no one
wanted to deal with her issues. Disappointedly to me, but happy for her, she had been
adopted out just as I was about to adopt her, but brought back again because she didn’t
get along with their cat nor was able to do their stairs.
She was in a rather sad state when I adopted her, but with Love and prayers of Knowing her perfection, although she always leaned against me, which was fine, and the vet had said
she would not be able to sit normally because of her injuries…she SMILED Happily all of
the time, became able to do the stairs (not needing the ramp I had built for her) and got
along beautifully with the cat I had at the time. When she was first adopted, she would
often cry, need help in getting up and that was also healed very soon after, through prayer.
It made me so happy to see Her “smiling” in God’s Love, running freely and like with this
precious little boy and dog, always expressed such joy and it was a beautiful experience.
    God’s Love Smiles! : )

    1. Carol thanks for the beautiful story of your dear doggie pal, it surely made me smile to hear of the love and prayers you showered on her and the great results.

  5. Lyrics to the classic song “Smile”, sung by Nat King Cole, as well as many others:

Smile though your heart is aching
    Smile even though it’s breaking
When there are clouds in the sky, you’ll get by
If you smile through your fear and sorrow
    Smile and maybe tomorrow
You’ll see the sun come shining through for you

Light up your face with gladness
    Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near

That’s the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what’s the use of crying?
You’ll find that life is still worthwhile
    If you just smile

  6. Good one, Linda. Here’s
    another old song:

When you’re smilin’, when you’re smilin’
The whole world smiles with you
When you’re laughin’, when you’re laughin’
    The sun comes shinin’ through
But when you’re cryin’, you bring on the rain
So stop that cryin’, be happy again
Keep on smilin’, ’cause when you’re smilin’
The whole world smiles with you

    1. Thanks Maggie, my dad used to sing this song, so I was glad to have a reminder of it. He often made me smile and taught me to enjoy singing.

  7. Maggie and Linda thanks so much for the lyrics to those songs
which brought back happy memories. And thanks to all for your
    comments.

    1. Dear Shelley, I found Pharrell Williams’ song “Happy” it’s joyful and Swinging. Thanks for mentioning it!♡

  8. Thank you, Evan, and all for such wonderful inspiration and memories of songs I grew up with. Singing and Smiling are the best!
Indeed, happiness is the Truth! (Happy song)
