Do something worthwhile

October 22, 2013 | 2 comments

Have you ever idly spent time counting the days or weeks until some cherished event is to arrive?

There is a better way to use your moments…

Don’t count the days.

Make the days count.

  1. Thank you, Evan for this reminder.

My daughter is enlisted in the Navy and is stationed in Italy for three years. I do not know when I will next get to see her. Instead of moping, counting the unknown days and feeling sorry for myself – which all adds up to loneliness – I decided to count the good every day. I make a conscious effort daily to be grateful and to express gratitude to those around me – even strangers! And guess what? I have spend ZERO time feeling alone and forgotten! Gratitude is riches! Thank you, God, for loving me!

  2. I can still hear my mother’s words,”go do something worthwhile”. I never knew just what that something was. Now I’ve learned that worthwhile something is heard when I shut the door on voices of worldly thoughts, listen to angels within, then right ideas pop up. ..always something good floating to the surface directly from God. No more idle days. No more waiting. Just Be-ing. Thank you for this reminder of how to make our days worthwhile!
