And I love the example Mrs Eddy gives in her book “Science and Health with key to the scriptures “ of a man that caught cholera because he thought he slept in a where a cholera patient had been , when the fact was He had not caught cholera by material contact, because no cholera a patient had been in that bed.

He shares a healing he had when he realized he need not take on the suffering of others. Even those not in the healing profession or caretaker role are watching and praying about very painful events around the world, closer to home and in our own sphere. I sometimes feel I am absorbing the pain in the world, without meaning to, and it can feel very heavy and burdensome. So it was helpful to know that we can keep our thought high and pray and still feel free ourselves. There’s a good quote at the end from Mrs. Eddy that also can be applied to today’s topic of spiritual immunity/contagion, “You will also learn that in Science there is no transfer of evil suggestions from one mortal to another, for there is but one Mind, and this ever-present omnipotent Mind is reflected by man and governs the entire universe.” (S&H p. 496)

Thank you for sharing the very inspiring lecture offered by the Pasco church last evening. I especially valued the concept of disassociating wrongful deeds from a person and instead seeing that person only as God’s loving child.

Mrs. Eddy said this:
Rather than quarrel over being vaccinated, I recommend that, if the law demand an individual to submit to this process, he obey the law; and then appeal to the gospel to save him from any bad results. Whatever belongs to this century, or any epoch, we may safely submit to the providence of God, to common justice, individual rights and governmental usages.12
But if it was my child I should let them vaccinate him and then with Christian Science I would prevent its harming the health of my child….13
Christian Scientists “have nothing to do” with the crusade against vaccination but “have long ago given up any fight on this question, and have agreed to allow vaccination” in accord with the advice of Eddy.
He also wrote that “it is not the proper statement of Christian Science to say that smallpox or any other disease is imagination;” that “[c]are and discretion must be used in respect to the sick, whatever may be the constituency of disease, until the danger therefrom is past;” that “[i]t does not lessen the efficiency of prayers to be careful in respect to the spreading of disease;” and that “Christian Scientists do not recklessly rush into its presence.”16

Great vlog. I had to take the vaccine-it was required to go to sing in NYC. I just knew it would not help me or harm me.
Thank you very much dear Evan, for your clear and freeing Vlog. Freeing because you explain, that really Christian Science is the ultimate and only solution of (in this case) the covid. Christian Science is the healing Christ in action, it is divine Truth in action, it teaches the nothingness of evel and the allness of the all encompassing Goodness of God, who created all very good.
If one had to be vaccinated because of a good reason, it cannot touch the real spiritual identity! Yes, we all can be endlessly grateful for Christian Science specially in these times, as Evan states. It is such a refreshing Vlog up here, and I feel in holiday when I hear the water and the wind while you give us so lovingly and comforting the absolute Truth, thanks again! 🙂
