Stay clear in your thought

March 11, 2016 | 11 comments

“Dear friend, guard clear thinking and common sense with your life; don’t for a minute lose sight of them.

They’ll keep your soul alive and well, they’ll keep you fit and attractive.

You’ll travel safely, you’ll neither tire nor trip.

You’ll take afternoon naps without a worry, you’ll enjoy a good night’s sleep.”

~ Proverbs 3:21-24, MSG

The clearest thinking and the soundest sense are always found in spiritual sense. To keep your spiritual sense of things keen and acute, is to work, rest, and play in peace.

  1. What a lovely inspiration. When spiritual sense prevails we and our loved ones are always happy and safe.
When good thoughts, good words and good deeds are aligned i.e. when we not only think good but even speak kindly and act accordingly, we feel happy and good. We and our loved ones are protected from all problems.
A clear conscience is the softest pillow which gives us the sweetest rest.
Thanks so much Evan for this enlightenment.

  2. Yes, Thank you Evan, again! And Thank you, Nergish. I love your metaphor: “A clear conscience is the softest pillow which gives us the sweetest rest.”

  3. Thanks, Evan! So important to keep our thoughts so full of Love for Ourselves! To Honor, Cherish and give ourselves what we need and want! If God loves us with Abandon, we can learn to Love Ourselves that way, too! We can learn to know that we are Beautiful and Deserving of all of the Good that God has planned for us! We can ferret out any thoughts or old beliefs that say we are bad, unworthy or undeserving and hold them up to the Light of Truth and Love. We can Let God Love Us! Happy Friday, All!

  4. Just had to add: Check out the Daily Lift today re. “Healing Invisible Wounds”. It’s excellent and begins to address how to heal the wounds of PTSD, whether from War or from Childhood Trauma. I have struggled with invisible wounds from being traumatized as a child and have made a lot of progress with a combination of Therapy, 12-Step Groups and Christian Science. I have discovered how important it is to be true and honest with oneself about what feelings and thoughts are being triggered and to let them come up so they can be Healed – not just shoving them down into Denial. It’s called, Feel, Deal and Heal! And it works Great with the study and practice of C.S.!

  5. I owe both my human parents the gift of leaning on God and not material sense testimony even thou my mother was brought up in a strick Jewish tradition and my father who was also Jewish but didn’t believe in either the religion or the traditional dogma it presented. This led us to accept the C/S explanation of God.

  6. Beloved Christian Scientists, keep your minds so
filled with Truth and Love, that sin, disease, and
death cannot enter them. It is plain that nothing can
be added to the mind already full. There is no door
through which evil can enter, and no space for evil to fill
in a mind filled with goodness. Good thoughts are an
impervious armor; clad therewith you are completely
shielded from the attacks of error of every sort. And not
only yourselves are safe, but all whom your thoughts rest
upon are thereby benefited. (Mary Baker Eddy, My. 210:2)

  7. Wow! This fabulous post followed by each of your wonderful comments has set me in the right direction today! Perfect, each one! Thank you!

  8. Thank you, Evan. In this recent wind storm as the dire predictions were storming in from every side, I had to keep reminding myself that the wind has a role to play, but it is not a power; God is power, and He is not IN the wind. The wind has no substance. Fear has no substance. All must be well. Indeed, it was. Peace and clear thinking enabled me to look to the right power source.
