We really do have to become conscious of our true self, just as God sees us and seek His guidance in all things first.❣️

Wouldn’t our true prayer be to reflect more Life, Truth and Love from Divine Mind’s perspective? In this way our supply would be met.

So True, of what you inspire us with today, Evan! Thank You! It
seems when things are going the way we want, we sometimes
feel, as humans, that we don’t need to pray. It is the times when
we do seem to Need something, that we turn to God. I had to
chuckle when you said about our trying to talk God into giving us
what we Think we need. How often do we only turn to Him when
we Think we need material needs or pleasures, as you had mentioned,
and beyond. Qualities that we “need” are always spiritual and those
we have already in abundance. Mortal things, although sometimes
seeming to be needed and easier With, do not truly satisfy. Our divine
LOVE which is always with us is a constant prayer to realize it’s presence
in our lives. I have sometimes throughout my life – thought … this would
be nice to have … or that would be nice to have and only upon receiving
it, was not truly satisfied and would move on to the next “thing” that I
Thought might make me happy, but material things are never really satisfying.
Like how many times do we hear of a child wanting a particular toy and
after getting it, prefers to play with the box it came in.
So helpful to hear the Truth of God’s and our Being in Spiritual ways.

So I guess praying for a physical healing is “selfish prayer”?
Hi David. I don’t think it’s selfish to pray for the understanding to see the truth about a physical problem.
That is a really loving response, Linda.UK. By understanding the
True being of who we really are – we don’t Need to feel it is
selfish, because in Reality, we already Have all the health we
think we need. God only knows our perfection – not a physical
problem or healing, so to see ourself in that light – would not
be selfish. (The way I understand it, anyway).
There is nothing wrong with wanting to be free of physical suffering.
However, in Christian Science, it helps to understand that spiritual healing is what leads to physical healing. The unselfed prayer of “What spiritual lessons do I need to learn?” often speed up healing.

Thank You for this SpiritView website, the result of Evan’s close listening to Your idea to maintain
it for us! A great example of what true listening can do. I am finally beginning to start to “ask aright,” and it feels must more logical. I am more often asking for “childlike trust, joyful adoption of good,” more humility and love and forgiveness and patience….OH! That’s Right! He’s already GIVEN all these to me/us!! Now to REMEMBER this when challenged!! Oh, I HAVE a good memory!

I’m very happy and thankful I already learned in Sundayschool rhat the real riches are the countless qualities God is giving us steadily and abundantly. So much Love that God gave us His blessed son , Christ Jesus and beloved daughter. MBEddy, who both are still teaching us to know that our real and only riches are in our Father-Mother God to joyously and gratefully express tonGod’s Glory!
Enjoying the holiday scenery behind Evan is so refreshing and lets me feel refreshed from the wind which might come over to us from the Lake. Mrs. Eddy tells us in SH that the indians called such a shining sea “the Smile of the great Spirit” (God).
