The Bloom Festival

Every spring, there is a Bloom Festival parade viewed by hundreds of thousands of flower oglers lining the streets from one little town to the next up and down the coastal area of Holland.  We didn’t view the parade, but we did get a preview of the floats the day before by touring the pavilion where the floats are constructed. What fun!
Here are a few of the floats we saw:

It was mega-fun to walk around at one’s own pace, study the floats, appreciate the flower arrangements and enjoy the thoughtfulness, care and talent that went into creating the visuals.

  1. Reminds me of when as a 13 yr. old my girlfriend and I viewed the Rose Parade in Pasadena, CA, and then walked to where they put the floats on display. What a joy to see them up close and appreciate all the work, effort and design that went into each float. It’s been many many years ago but the parade I most remember. Thank you for these pictures.

  2. Like the first commentator, we have floats every Christmas sponsored by MACY’S DEPARTMENT STORE. Evan, by showing us pictures from Holland really brings out a Truth about man in God’s image and likeness. We are all alike, no matter we’re we come from. We all love parades and gardens.
