The functions of Mind

June 8, 2022 | 19 comments

If you are ever concerned about the function of a particular organ in the body, it’s an opportunity to understand function from a spiritual point of view.

In this video, I talk about how understanding the functions of divine Mind translate into a properly functioning body.

This vlog was filmed in Pirogue Island State Park, near Miles City, Montana, when my wife and I camped nearby in August 2021.

  1. I don’t know if this is just me but the vlog isn’t showing though I may be out of signal! I was also late getting yesterday’s blog.

  2. Perfect Evan! Just what I needed to think and ponder about today.
God gives us the dominion we need over any intrusive , unlawful thought/action that tries to invade our daily experience. We must always remember His presence and the eternal activity expressed by Gods children….known or unknown to us. We are All the loved of Love❣️

  3. I love the idea of focusing on how well the spiritual qualities, that are ours by divine right, are being expressed through us; that viewing things in this way lifts the conversation to the higher, truer, most correct point of view. Thinking about functions of matter is low level thinking, why go low when we can go high?

Grateful to be in the company of Truth, Truth seekers and Truth knowers.

    1. Creation
      God says I AM All
      and infinite divinity of Soul
      is imaged forth as man,
      beloved, beautiful, secure.

      “In the beginning” never was
in embryo, nor is man’s measure
      from a family history,
      environment, or circumstance.

Mind is the continuity of man,
      knows all that has been,
      is, will be. Mind makes
His image as the climax of His
      glorious infinity.
      God’s love,
      like clearings in the meadow
      of our days, reveals
      man’s full divinity.

    1. Thank you Angie. This article fits Evan’s Spiritview so well. I especially liked “As one’s concept of being changes from a material structure to a spiritual idea, his body responds to this understanding with health and harmony. This is resurrection!”

    2. In S&H, Mary Baker Eddy says “Through great tribulation we enter the kingdom. Trials are proof of God’s care. Spiritual development germinates not from seed sown in the soil of material hopes, but when these decay, Love propagates anew the higher joys of Spirit, which have no taint of Earth. Each successive stage of experience unfolds new views of divine goodness and love.” Pg. 66:9-16.

“Spiritual development germinates not from seed sown in the soil of material hopes, but when these decay…”

  4. Thank you, Evan! As always, your blogs and vlogs really hit the mark. And it is so nice of you to think of us and take the time to make your vlogs while you are on vacation!

  5. The Bible in this week’s Lesson says in philippians 2:13 “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” So Evan says rightly that all the functions of our body are spiritual ideas which are working harmoniously together after God’s will and good pleasure as we are his perfect expression! Wow what a great Truth! And what
Evan also says, was to pray this way, which i am longing to do and must do much more!

Thank you Evan for giving us so abundantly and lovingly your inspirational spiritual views which help us very much! 🙂

    1. Oh dear Evan, today’s SpiritView is very needed! Many thanks and love for it!
And thanks and love to you, dear Angie for the article today and everyday!♡

  6. Thank you Evan, excellent Vlog!
    Quotes by others:
    – God’s ideas never devolve into a matter-state. They are forever spiritual. There is no material knee, from God’s point of view. There is only an eternal spiritual idea that remains perfect, forever…When we agree with God’s point of view, and accept it as our reality, we experience its freedoms. (The Knee of Spirit by Evan from SpiritView 4/2/19)
    – A lie has only one chance of successful deception – to be accounted true. (Unity of Good by Mary Baker Eddy. P. 17)
    – Our entire being – including every bodily function – is governed by, and subject to, the law of God alone. God is the source and man is the effect. The key to harmony and health is to understand this relationship. (Kathy Fitzer)

    1. Yes, and God gives us faith and understanding. We can indeed pray for it. The Holy Bible contains so many healing comfort. I am grateful for the Bible and of course for Science and Health which declares and interprets the Bible.

Thank you very much “J” for your inspired Comment!♡
