Voice the truth fearlessly

November 22, 2019 | 10 comments

“It requires courage to utter truth; for the higher Truth lifts her voice, the louder will error scream, until its inarticulate sound is forever silenced in oblivion.”

~ Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health, p. 97

Sometimes, when exposing immorality, unethical behavior, dishonesty, or some other type of evil, there may be an aggressive reaction to the exposure. If so, don’t be intimidated! Truth will have the final say. Stick with Truth and win.

Any reaction of error is as nothing compared to the power and presence of Truth. Trying to topple truth with error is like trying to knock over the Eiffel Tower with a feather. The Tower is not going to budge!

So, if error is putting on a big show, stay out of the drama. Keep a cool, collected spiritually composed thought, knowing that God is in control, and hold your unwavering stance  until the storm of error dies down and peace is restored.

No matter how loud error screams and hollers and makes a big scene, it is destined to exhaust itself, run out of fuel, whimper, stop and evaporate. In the end, Truth stands dominant with no threat in sight, and your commitment to Truth pays off, for you were siding with the inevitable victor all along.

  1. You are right about the”courage it takes to utter the Truth”. Ty for the reminder May God give me that needed courage.

  2. I didn’t receive this directly but it was forwarded by a friend. Since there are only 3 comments, I think there may be a problem with this web site.

  3. Oh Evan, is that loving, humorous, comforting and healing. I feel blessed with your SpiritView, presently specially today. Thank you very much for it! I love: “Truth will have the final say. Stick with Truth and win!” Thank you also for the passage from Science and Health p. 95. It is so needed .
How really funny, but so true your comparison with the Eiffel Tower; making plane that any error has no power at all, so as a feather over the Eiffel Tower cannot knock it down – I must chuckle. Thank you dear Evan for your wonderful humor!
It always took me courage to stand up to give a testimony on Wednesdays in our church, and to utter the spiritual truth which healed. But meanwhile after decades of studying CS and having progressed in understanding Christian Science better I love to express gratitude for healing, even if it is only a tiny demonstration of God’s presence, love and power.
We can be utmost greatful for CS!

By the way, I did not either get today’s SpiritView in my inbox. I pressed “newer” on the bottom of yesterday’s SpiritView.

Am so grateful for this blissful SpiritView blog!

  4. Patience surely is an element in demonstration Evan and your words of encouragement certainly do help. Thank u for your interpretation of Mrs Eddy’s discovery, our wonderful way of life, Christian Science. Gwen johnston, Kansas City MO

  5. Along with others, I got Today’s Spirit View the same way Uta did. I love the picture and the message is especially timely. Thank you, Evan
