Material sense limps around. Spiritual sense leaps and bounds!

  1. Ooooooh…the leaping n bounding…dancing with joy and a song in your heart because that’s what you were created to do! And you cannot be made to believe otherwise!! Spiritual sense, divine, Mind, Love is the mover and I reflect!

  2. Don’t forget to praise God! See Acts 3:7
“Taking him by the right hand, Peter helped him up, and at once the man’s feet and ankles were strengthened. He sprang to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and leaping and praising God. “

  3. Yesss, dear Evan, thank you very very much for reminding and advising us to use spiritual sense ! Only with spiritual sense we find our way, always! I find important to know that spiritual sense is given us a l l by our Father-Mother God, divine Mind; we have only to u s e it, what Evan once said in one of his precious lectures. Thanks be to God for Christian Science!

Thank you Patricia, you are quite right “… and thank God for ever and ever!”
I love that healing you mention Acts 3:7 – thanks a lot!

  4. Oh…. Dear Evan, and fellow SpiritViewers, These thoughts are Exactly what I needed to read this morning! So Helpful! Yesterday I twisted my foot and today I have lots of yard work to do, so this is a Perfect expression of Truth. I will gladly go with the “spiritual sense that leaps and bounds”, rather than the “material sense that limps around”. Thank you! : )

  5. OOOOOOOOHHHHH! Dancing, and leaping, and PRAISING GOD!!!!!! Last night I was caught in such a vicious argument purported by material sense, until I FINALLY sat down with my books and found– yes, of course– right there in the Lesson, every SPECIFIC AND POINTED solution to every fearful, angry, distorted perspective material sense was presenting; I had worked myself into a pretty warped perspective of what was going on. When, in fact, God was right there, as She/He has ALWAYS been. “I know the thoughts that I think toward you….thoughts of peace…to give you an expected end” was one which lifted me immediately. Citation 6, Psalms, describes my state of mind, and the following citation from Jeremiah proclaims :”I have loved you with an everlasting love…” Anyway, quite soon, “the former things were passed away” and I felt that peace promised. Hallelujah to our Heavenly Father of Lights, with whom is NO turning! Thank you, Evan, both for your lovely blog and to all the Students who share here.

  6. Paul (great expounder of Christianity): “In Him we live and move and have our being.”

How could we do anything but “walk and leap and praise God.” God being God and man being His reflection is why we are walking and leaping and praising! What a rich concept for today, thanks Evan.

  7. Thanks to everyone for your thoughtful comments! That healing from Acts about the man born lame entering into the temple leaping and bounding is one of my favorites. He needed no therapy or time of recovery. His healing was complete and instantaneous. And a special thanks to you, Evan, for this blog where are all blessed and inspired!

  8. Gravity can’t weigh down a spiritual idea! The gravity of God always UPLIFTS.
    “Underneath are the everlasting arms.”

  9. Yes, dear Diane, “…the everlasting arms of Love!”
thank you for the.uplifting Gravity of God, everlasting all inclusive Love!

  10. Thank you Evan and all who have shared- such a sweet, happy and gentle reminder! It brings to thought Hymn 139- here’s the first verse- “
“I walk with Love along the way, and O, it is a holy day; No more I suffer cruel fear, I feel God’s presence with me here; The joy that none can take away is mine; I walk with love today.”
I love the thought of “The Joy that none can take away” – no material sense, no earthly suggestion can touch it or remove it. Spiritual sense, and the joy that it brings, is ours eternally! That knowledge makes me want to leap and bound and shout with great Joy and gratitude- “Thank you dear Father – Mother God for giving us all eternal Life, filled with Your ever unfolding goodness and Love!” What a great adventure we all have been blessed with! Hallelujah!

      1. Yes, I too love Hymn 139, and often sing it. And, Evan, what lovely thoughts to hold in thought throughout the day . Thank you! And much love and thanks to all who share on this list. It’s such a treasure, and especially nice when one doesn’t have family or friends nearby to share. It’s like a family. I look forward to reading it each morning,

  11. Yes—f family that encourages us to leap with joy! What beautiful ideas to put into practice.. Thanks to all!

  12. I have favored a foot issue for several months. ” I know the thoughts peace, joy and harmony” something like that. Step out of matter into Divine Mind. So grateful to you all and Evan for the guiding thought.

  13. Thanks all ….this really hits home today.
Especially the need to praise God in gratitude of being able to walk and leap.as his perfect image and idea. John, I love that thought of stepping out of matter into Divine Mind.

    1. There is a lecture by John Benson with the title ” stepping out of error and into health” in that sense. One can find it under Christianscience.com/meet the lecturer.
