Here’s an article that was published in my local newspaper about a healing I had with our cat, “His cat’s angry paws had him pausing in prayer.” The Tri-City Herald.
Sorry about the date, October 4, 2025. I figure that it’s better now than never, to share it!
Trying to open article to read but it’s making me subscribe before I can read it. Just letting you know. Thank you, Cindy
Cindy, I just saw your comment after I posted my own. When I tried to open the newspaper article after accessing SpiritView through the app, it asked me to subscribe before reading. BUT! When I opened SpiritView through my email, the newspaper article opened without a problem. Maybe that will help.
Yes, accessing through the app, there is a pay wall for the newspaper. But if you do what Cheryl Ann suggested, you can read it (via the Internet). Good article, Evan.
Interesting. I had the opposite results. I couldn’t get to Evan’s article thru my usual way through the email on my desktop, but easily read it on the app from my phone. Thanks, Evan!
Thank you for the tip, Cheryl Anne. Opening through email worked for me too.
What a lovely article. Thank you, Evan. It’s okay that it is an October newspaper article. As you said, better late than never, otherwise we would have missed out on seeing and hearing about beautiful Zoey. I love how you took us step by step from stunned beginning to healed ending. I vote for more pet stories, please!
I’m not able to open it. : (
cannot open either, thru app or email.
Try going directly to SpiritView.net in your browser. it worked for me when the other two didn’t. Thanks Evan, especially for “with no marks in my thought, there couldn’t be marks on my face”.. How often we rehearse incidents in our thoughts, wh7ch never supports healing results.
Evan, Thanks for such uplifting message: “I am confident that if there is no mark in my thinking about what happened, the marks on my face would vanish too”.

Thank you, Harmony. You brought harmony to me with the link you provided, so I was able to read the article. At first I was dismayed and annoyed that it seemed i couldn’t read it without a subscription. But what an apt lesson! Thank you, you are well-named!
Thank you Harmony! I couldn’t access the article through my email or the app. It’s such a great article. And, truly nothing is lost with God – even the ability to read an article of inspiration.
thank you Harmony was able to access through your link.
Thank you so much, Harmony – I couldn’t get it either. It is a really lovely testimony, Evan.
and I know all animal lovers will benefit from reading it. You proved in part that to the real spiritual
senses ” of man, all God’s creatures are harmless, useful and indestructible” as Mrs. Eddy declared in S&H.
We need to love them and respect them.
Thank you Harmony ..I was unable to access the article either.
What a great story, lesson and healing Evan. I’m so glad you shared this. My son has a Maine Coon and they are a very intelligent animal!
Thank you for explaining your thought process to arrive at the spiritually mutual answer here. It could be applied by so many of us to numerous problems. How great that you take her with you on your travels….
….’’To be patient and loving under provocation, to be graciously kind and considerate in the friction of daily associations, to express God’s thoughts, day in and day out, will contribute to the building of Christian character, and thus prepare one for the occasional big things one may have the opportunity to do.’’
This is a quote from a sentinel article by Samuel greenwood .
Thank you again❣️
I was able to open the article.
Maine Coons make wonderful pets; they are very social and loving, also smart, and another part of God’s wonderful kingdom.
This article made me feel very sad for Zoey. It feels so wrong to imprison such an intelligent animal as a cat alone in a camper all day. No wonder she needed some attention. Perhaps there could be a better arrangement made for her. I do feel so sorry for cats confined to a life inside. Although I also hate to see them catching wildlife.
Good morning Izzy and Evan
Evan thank you for the wonderful article, Evan, I really loved it! I love all animals and anytime you want to post another article about an animal this is one person that would appreciate it. thank you again. I will now never think to blow in my cat Sunny’s face.
Izzy, please know it’s much healthier for cats and wildlife for the cats to live indoors. I have two that are inside and they love watching the birds through the window. My cat Sunny was a outdoor rescue a few years back and I know decimated many wild birds in his time outside. He and My other cat Jack are happy inside and my thought is eased knowing he will not be prey for coyotes, etc and the birds will continue to enjoy my garden and yard.
Love and joy to you all today. ♥️
(Hope this is not too much off topic)
I agree, Melissa If we think about our pets as ‘imprisoned’, we’re not doing them or ourselves any favors – I’ve had indoor cats for many years, and embrace the fact that they are loved, cherished, well-adjusted and cared for in every way by their Maker. After all, they’re spiritual too, here to fully express joy and playfulness, despite what mortal appearance might suggest.
I sent this to my friend who absolutely loved this. Her cat is a house cat. Even if the front door is open she prefers to be inside lying on the window ledge watching the activities
going on outside. She loves being brushed but won’t have her stomach brushed and the claws come out. My friend found the ideas in the article so helpful. Thank you Evan.
In the world picture, big birds catch wildlife too, as humans could be said to keep enslaved animals to kill and eat, which would appear to be even worse. But in the proportion that we work to “keep human consciousness in constant relation with the divine” (MBE My 160:5) we begin to see that all is entirely of, and perpetually governed by, Love alone, and the pictures of killing and cruelty begin to disappear into their native nothingness.
Cats are wonderfully independent – if Zoey didn’t want to go with mum and dad in the trailer she would make sure she didn’t . Cats love to share in family outings . Absolutely lovely experience – thanks Evan
Thank you, Harmony. You brought harmony to me with the link you provided, so I was able to read the article. At first I was dismayed and annoyed that it seemed i couldn’t read it without a subscription. But what an apt lesson! Thank you, you are well-named!
Thank you Evan. I love that your articles and testimonies of healing get published in your local paper. What a benefit to all reading. ❣️
Thankyou Harmony for providing the link. I to was disappointed thinking I wouldn’t be able to read the article. Thankyou Evan for sharing this with us . the Truth you shared was very helpful to me since I do have several cats and once in awhile they get a little demanding for my attention. this is very inspiring for me. Thankyou.
I told my sons 3 dogs, 2 Rottweilers and a German Shepherd that they needed to get a job, because of all the intelligence and energy they expressed. They are dearly loved and live in a rural area in Australia with lots of open space to run around. An answer that came to me was from Miscellany 165:18 “What am I? I am able to impart Truth, health and happiness and this is my rock of salvation and my reason for existing.” I pray to see more of their completeness and satisfaction.
For the people who can’t open the article, I think the Tri-City Herald allows non-subscribers to view one article for free each month. Since I shared an article from the Herald with you last week, if you read that article, I’m guessing that used up your one free alllowance for this month. However, if you try to access the article a different way than you did last week, that may work.
Sorry about that. I rarely have more than one link from the Herald to share with you in a month, so haven’t faced this problem before.
Thank you for this helpful article! I was able to access this from the link provided in the email and accessed from my phone.
I will keep cherishing the idea that “if there is no mark in my thinking about what happened, the marks on my face would vanish too”. Thank you Evan!
