Why we need to listen and obey

Here’s a moving video clip of a man brought back from the dead by a doctor who was told by the Lord to pray for his patient.  And he obeyed.

  1. What can I say ? That it was touching, inspiring … this is the kind of example that supports us along our spiritual journey, proving the presence and power of our beloved God always protecting us, making sure we´re always well, no matter where we are and what we´re going through.

  2. Just the last half minute was most helpful. The doctor says the day this all happened his own faith level was not that high and that he resisted the command to pray. His obedience sets a standard.

  3. This beautiful healing demonstration illustrates a very important point that Mrs. Eddy makes in the following statement:

“A genuine Christian Scientist loves Protestant and Catholic, D.D. and M.D., — loves all who love God, good; and he loves his enemies. It will be found that, instead of opposing, such an individual subserves the
interests of both medical faculty and Christianity, and they thrive together, learning that Mind-power is good will towards men….”

Note: “…instead of opposing, such an individual subserves the interests of BOTH medical faculty and Christianity and they thrive together…”

I lived the truth of this statement when I was led to accept a job at SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals years ago. I felt I had spiritual work to do there. And it did unfold with healings and the Christian Science textbook put into circulation. We thrived together, proving that Mind power is good will towards men.

I think it also helps to remember the root to the word hospital, the root is ‘hospitality’ The staff in a hospital rise up to meet us with hospitality and care, certainly the Christ permeates hospitality….

Thank you for sharing this video. Its wonderful to see Love in action.

  4. This hasn’t been easy to watch as hospital scenes are not pleasant. I much preferred reading “Proof of Heaven” by Dr. Eben Alexander. Both tell of after death experiences as spiritual events.

  5. For years even to now I hated Hospitals and Doctors, only because of the loss of 2 wives, one caused by suicide and the other, because of Malpractice. After seeing this Video my attitude can change to loving instead of hating. It doesn’t necessary mean to love being in a Hospital or I can’t wait to see Doctors. It really means to put yourself in how they perceive healing. This is what they know and understand. “All things work together for good to them who love God,” as witnessed in this thought provoking Video shown in Evan’s blog. Thank you Evan for posting it.
