  1. Oh well dear Evan, thanks for the very important admonition! At times it does not seem easy to do. But of course normally I do love to do my work cheerfully, specially when clearly knowing that i express God, our divine Father-Mother lovingly. 🙂

    1. oh, Evan meant also to work cheerfuly towards others. Not always easy either. But it helps if I see my co-worker in church or somewhere else, also as God’s loving expression, and praying that I can love, love, love him. Work to progress on it; we can be assured God is with us! Thank you Evan for your helping hand and inspiration through SpiritView! 🙂

  3. Thank you Evan and UTA for these uplifting thoughts today, I really appreciate them. As we work cheerfully and as Mrs. Eddy says in one of her hymns ” uplift your thought, with courage go, give of your hearts rich overflow”. This helps us feel better about whatever seems to be challenging in our lives. Have a Glorious Day !!!

    1. Have you a lovely God’s Day as well, Anna. And thank you very much for the loving words of Mrs. Eddy’s hymn, love it.

  4. It is so important and loving to thank and remind the person checking you out at the grocery or stores, the person picking up trash from the lawn in front of a restaurant, the person holding a door open for another, the attendant at a gas station, the ticket seller at a movie, an usher, the trash collector, the postal worker or delivery person, or myriad number of God’s children (and that includes everyone) attending to their duty that they are wonderful, beloved reflections of Love. Never hesitate to smile, say thank you sincerely and thank God for their right activity. Everyone has purpose, whether great or small,

    1. Thank you, Ellen, for your practical examples, something we can all do. And it has a ripple effect. Being kind and loving in all our interactions makes a huge difference in our lives and everyone we come into contact with. You never know what someone else is going through, and your smile and expression of kindness can make all the difference. Being love without ceasing, using our spiritual sense throughout the day, our “…conscious, constant capacity to understand God.” SH p209:31

  5. When we do, we immediately make our experience better for ourselves and those with whom we interact whether we realize it or not. It is very difficult to express love while complaining that something in our experience isn’t quite right. It is a denial of Truth and reliance on our true support in God created atmosphere. Instead our complaints give no hint, no support for either ourselves or those with us. It is far better to express love as our constant companion.

  6. It is Thanksgiving Day here in Canada . We have
A federal election coming next week. We are grateful to live in a democracy where loving one another and appreciating other
Races and ethnic Persons has been accepted
    And Cher.ished in our society.

  7. Thank you Evan and all! I’ve been thinking today about the phrase in “Christmas Morn,” “Thou gentle beam of living Love” and how we can see others and ourselves that way as we express the Christ-spirit. It came to me in particular with regard to our newly adopted dog-son whom my husband rescued from a busy street intersection. We tried to locate his “parents” through our Human Society and left him there for a week, visiting him almost every day. When they didn’t respond to the calls and emails, we could finally adopt him. He is about 16 months old, still a puppy, is very loving, but likes to jump on us. He’s learning not to do that, but he did knock me over once, and now I am thinking of him as a “gentle beam of living Love.” I am also putting that into practice with regard to people who seem to exhibit the opposite qualities. It has really helped me. (And Kona and I are going to obedience school, starting this week.)

  8. Perfect timing! I just got an email that we will be having MORE staff meetings. Oh boy… ok I’m adjusting my thought. Oh joy!

  9. Anyone have a good definition for “second guessing”? It always puzzles me a bit when folks say “don’t second guess yourself.” I appreciate the discussion of the central thrust of the quotes… cheer and good will.
