Do you agonize over how you look physically in the mirror? If so, it’s time for an identity-makeover!
As God’s likeness, you are not matter-image. You are Spirit-image.
A matter-image is all the physical stuff you see in the mirror when you comb your hair, brush your teeth, adjust your belt and do a final check over before walking into public. It’s an objective state of mortal mind and it constantly changes according to the images of thought impressed upon it.
A Spirit-image is divine, incorporeal, of heaven, of God, not of mortal mind. It’s not defined by hair color, eyebrow lines, fashion, weight or girth. Its outline is defined by God’s qualities expressed—love, gratitude, joy, intelligence, and spiritual mindedness in action.
A Spirit-image is very concrete, real and tangible to spiritual sense.
If you don’t like what you see in the mirror of mortal mind, look into the mirror of the divine Mind and see what God created.
God created a Spirit-image. And it couldn’t be more desirable and comely to look upon.
A Spirit-image is Love in action, Spirit energizing its environment, Truth expressed, and Life abounding. A Spirit-image is not overweight, underweight, too tall or too short. A Spirit-image is always just right, balanced, perfectly proportioned, in order, healthy, strong, well, happy, grateful, intelligent and able.
A Spirit-image is free!
Understand yourself more as Spirit-image, and the physical body you thought was a burden will feel lighter and lighter until it does not hold a preponderance of attention anymore. It fades into Spirit. And what you thought was physical is no longer physical. It’s discovered to be spiritual. And it’s a whole lot better!
Thanks you so so much for this reminding. Especially the last sentences: “And what you thought was physically…” This is so helpful to come away from “dualism”, two real creations, one spiritually, one physically.
No, its just All- in- All the expression of the infinite divine mind, which has to appear and will be seen as soon as the material sense is caught as what it is and turns into its natural nothingness.
This is wonderful! Thank you so much, Evan! When I went to see your blog today, I thought: Let’s go and have some ‘spiritview’ for today. I could not have imagined how appropriate this thought was!
Your post is a perfect follow-up to your last comment re your post on ‘Commit an act of preservation’. These are eye-openers for me! I am so grateful for your blog! – and I love it’s name!
Wow ! This last part of the text was terrific, Evan !
I really loved it and will keep these words with me. Thank you !!!
Thank you Even for agreeing with my attitude to physical appearance. I never cared how I looked physically. How I presented myself in God’s image and likeness was my main concern.
This is the Spiritview we need to establish ourselves on and stay on the path to Christ Mind healing. What a beautiful help, Evan, to girding our thought as we do daily battle with mortal error.
Thanks Evan, this was really good.
I love the beautiful photo, as well as the thoughts.
our thoughts are manifested on the mortal clay waiting to be shaped by ugly or beautiful thoughts….what is your model today?
