  1. Thank you for this thought today, Evan. It’s just what I needed this morning. Rather than wallow in self-pity because of what seems to be frostiness of other people, I can respond with warmth and friendship. This is so freeing!
    Thank you so much!

  2. Thank you Evan, to make us ponder this loving thought!
Thank you Béatrice for your comment; it`s so healing what you said: we can respond with warmth and friendship. As God`s loved child we can feel and do express the warmth of divine Love, our best Friend. And as God`s reflection we can lovingly express this spiritual quality of friendship to our neighbor that frees and heals!
Thank God that we learn that in CS and therefore can practise it!

    1. Uta, I love your reference to divine Love being our best friend. Wow, with Love, God, all-good as our best friend, there can be nothing but warmth, gentleness, kindness, love strength, freedom, peace joy, etc. Beautiful. I love thinking about Love being my best friend.

  3. Yes, beautiful photo and ideas, as always. Thank you Evan, and all!

Re Halloween silliness…to illustrate, once more, error exposing itself as a fraud, wearing many disguises to try to trick folks into believing it is real. But we know better!

    ;<))

  4. When we can see through the smoke screens of error to the harmonious man and woman reflecting their inheent goodness we are able to warm their hearts to a better understanding of themselves which energizes to a new view of Life and their God-governed roles in it.

  5. I used to tell my children that it is never the other guy. It is what you hold in your heart where your freedom lies. We are only responsible for our own consciousness. We try to be a beneficial presence wherever we are regardless of the outside situation.

  6. As one of my favorite oft-quoted documents – Desiderata – says in part: “…….And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the Universe is unfolding as it should.…..With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.” Max Ehrmann, 1927.

  7. Yes, warmth ..comfort. comes from Love expressed…reflected.

    Absolutely love the pic, Evan.

Halloween can be a fun time for the ‘’kid’ in us…….but does remind us of the disguises error puts on to impress or scare us. I always recall a family pract/ CS teacher telling us to give error “the old horse laugh!” :-))

  8. Thank “y’all for your poignant expressions and loving unfoldment of good. Each day’s need is meet. I’m very grateful!

  9. Thanks to all, and for the great photo! Yes, when we hold love in our hearts it is seen and felt. It brings warmth and comfort to those around us—and to ourselves, too!.

  10. In a school today, for fun, a teacher was asking the students questions about Halloween. He asked them how a vampire can get into one’s house (they didn’t know the answer) and he said only when you invite it in. We learn in Christian Science how not to be fooled by error’s many disguises and not invite it into our thought.
