Thou shalt not raise a false report.
A false report is a lie, an untruth. It is in our best interest to not believe lies, state them, or repeat them.
If tempted to spread a baseless rumor, we can opt to let it die with us.
If tempted to speculate maliciously about another’s chances for success, we can choose to see something good about them instead.
If tempted to build a case for suffering, we can choose to build a case for health and healing.
If tempted to predict doom, we can seek out reasons for success.
If tempted to wallow in evil, we can choose to rejoice in God’s omnipresence.
We have no obligations to evil, to indulge it, honor it, or obey it. We do not have to perpetuate it. We can stop it.
“Overcome evil with good” (Romans 12:21), the apostle Paul teaches.
The case we build is the case we live with. How much better to live Evan’s case above with truth rather than some baseless thought or act.

is repeated enough times, it Seems to be the Truth. So, it is so
important Not to lie and to be guided by what we know is real
and side with the Good, the True.
