Here’s a short quick song that will remind you to slow down a bit and take moments to enjoy the many blessings that come along your way.
“Stop and smell the roses”
That was a lovely, peaceful message in song!
It reminded me of Mrs Eddy’s sweet message to us on page 174 : 25-28 in Miscellany where she writes :”Today my soul can only sing and soar. An increasing sense of God’s love, omnipresence, and omnipotence enfolds me. Each day I know Him nearer, love Him more, and humbly pray to serve Him better.”
Thank you!
Thank you Bid for sharing Mrs Eddy’s words of encouragement, they reminded me of Psalm 51, particularly verses 10 – 12.
This is something we should be working towards and held in thoughtful prayer.
Wonderful. Thank you!
I love this, Evan! A great way to start the day. As I write, the birds are having breakfast at the feeder, the sun is shining, the wind chime playing a gentle tune, flowers are still blooming with spring bulbs waiting to be planted…(how can such odd looking bulbs bring forth such beautiful flowers? … but they Do). Amazing, isn’t it ~ how patience can and will bring forth it’s perfect work.
Peaceful wishes to everyone
A lovely reminder. Thank you.
There are many songs that is like prayer such as; “DON’T WORRY, BE HAPPY,” and “ALL THINGS OLD IS NEW AGAIN.” Just to mention a few. OH! So many.
Thank you so much Evan for this today, as I sit here at work with a smile on my face and my toes tapping to the music. Lovely!!
What a lively and cheerful ending to my morning prayers and study of the Bible lesson, and start of a brand new day. Thanks so much!
thanks for that!
Thank you Evan. Will hum this as I take my daily walks And thank you Bid, Craig and Carol for your comments.
What a delight! Thanks.
Wow, I haven’t heard this song in a long time. Love this song! Definitely a nice reminder to slow down, smell the roses AND count our blessings! I think I’ll now go add this song to my iTunes library!
Thanks, Evan!!
Thanks, that one still moment, reflecting God’s presence.
