Here’s an inspiring video of a woman of advanced years who has decided to not idle years away and accept decline, but to live progressively and employ her talents to the best of her understanding. And she is an inspiration to many.
“Iron Nun on the Run”
Sent in by a reader. Thank you!
Thanks so much for sharing. I watched more videos of her and she always has the same beautiful expression on her face. There is no trace of strain or stress. What an example!
“She runs religiously, gratefully…..” I love that comment. Thank you for sharing this!
The Daily Lift today by Laura Lapointe has a reference to a line from a favorite hymn:”the mounting footsteps of the upward way.” I thought of the running nun the minute I heard it!
Thank you for sharing this video.
“… they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:31.
I see in this dear lady, the fulfillment of a Biblical promise. God bless her!
The only way that man can experience death is for God to die since man is in his image. The same for age since God is forever so man reflects that usefulness for ever. The same for intelligence since God is not expressed by a brain but by intelligence which comes only from God, not by a pulpy blob called brain. The same for LOVE since God is Love and has nothing to do do with sexual satisfaction since God has no knowledge of sex. Jesus himself came from God’s own penetration of himself so humanity could take knowledge of him since humans relied on material sight. Comes down to it; humanity had to see symbols of God which Jesus projected to return to their innate original being, GOD’S IMAGE & LIKENESS.
Loved seeing this again, thanks, Evan! I’m a Senior Woman Runner and have found it to be so true that we set our own limits. It’s truly just a mental choice to stop Running or to Keep On Truckin’! We’re always growing New!
I find going to a gym seems to satisfy some of my needs. I do not regularly, but when I do go
I am challenging my material body. This does not satisfy my spiritual need and I am not comfortable running or even walking. I need to change thought.?
This is great. Depending on how you live and think, you get better everyday. the false limitations fall away.
What an inspiration! Run to express God’s qualities not for material glory.
