A fun sign

May 31, 2013 | 6 comments

For anyone familiar with the original quote, this sign I came across on The Principia College campus in Elsah, Illinois, was too much fun to pass up. Had to snap a photo and share it with you.

Written by Mary Baker Eddy:

“Emerge gently from matter into Spirit. Think not to thwart the spiritual ultimate of all things, but come naturally into Spirit through better health and morals and as the result of spiritual growth” (Science and Health, p. 485).

Are you emerging gently today, or are you muscling your way around with a bulldog attitude, stiff pointed elbows, and unyielding selfish positions?
Merge with divine Love first, and the turns and paths you take ahead will keep you safe and in harmony with other drivers on the road.

  1. As soon as I saw that the sign was at Prin, I knew what it would say! However, I think it’s been replaced with a new one since we enjoyed it on campus over 50 years ago.

  2. I loved this sign when I was at Prin many decades ago but didn’t see it when I visited the campus last fall. I thought it was gone for good until I saw this post! Wonderful!

  3. Your Fans and Friends will all love this, Evan!
Thanks for taking the time to share it.
    Just like you, though.

(Chuckling at the stiff elbows…ha ha!)

What a blessing you are, letting Love shine
    so brightly in you!
