A significant healing

December 5, 2012 | 4 comments

Every once in a while over the last few years, I’ve had new patients call and tell me that a lady in a Reading Room on the east coast told them I had helped heal her of breast cancer. I never knew whom they were talking about, until last summer.
Finally, the “mysterious woman in the Reading Room,” called me about another issue she wanted help with, and reminded me of the precious healing we had together many years ago.
She recounted that a lump had grown in her breast and had formed into an ugly open wound. She did not have it medically diagnosed, although she nursed a friend in the past who had an identical condition. So she was very familiar with the disease. The friend received medical treatment, and eventually had her breast removed. It was a very unhappy experience and involved a lot of physical suffering.
So, this lady, not wanting to repeat her friend’s unfortunate experience with the medical treatment, was looking to Christian Science for healing. She called me for help.
And I remember her being very receptive to the messages of Love that were shared. She knew the healing was in thought. A consciousness filled with truth and love would purify mind and body and eliminate the disease, she was confident. And so was I.
We prayed together several times until she found spiritual peace. The fear went away, the wound reversed and disappeared. She was completely healed, and has been well many years since. Her breast is intact.
Christian Science is the most beautiful healthcare system known to mankind. It is noninvasive and leaves you in a better place than where you started. We all have much to learn about how to practice it more effectively, but the effort is worth the reward.

  1. Evan dear, this was a sacred unfoldment for sure. I rejoice that you have this in your list of heart-felt accomplishments.

The first time I learned of a healing of breast cancer the practitioner involved was led to say to the patient during their initial visit, “All that matters is what God is thinking.” They built her treatment and education on this fact.

I never forgot this statement and have used it myself over the years. Its a simple but potent recognition that enables us to correct thought and belief because all that matters is what God is thinking. And gratefully, He does not think disease, but health and harmony and eternal Life.

Thank you for sharing this sacred unfoldment and for reminding us that nothing is too hard for God, Truth to rectify…..God Bless you.

  2. Thank you Evan for this profound article and for the comment from Leah. Breast cancer is so much in the news today it’s difficult to prevent fear from forming. Articles like this are inspirational and release fear. Thank you very much.

  3. Dear Evan; A very simple idea came to me way back in the year 1970. My wife was told that she had Cancer of the Uteris. I looked up in the Merriem Webster Dictionary the word CANCER. One of the meanings was “A spread of evil.” I told my wife to hold on to the idea that how can evil spread when God Good fulls all space? WHALLA, no Cancer attacked my wife.
