Act on those ideas!

Ideas won’t keep:
something must be done about them.
~Alfred North Whitehead
Do you have lots of great ideas, but they remain only ideas that never take an outward form? They get stashed away in backroom mental storehouses that rarely get visited. They are forgotten in time and are never given opportunity to bear fruit?
If you have a great idea, then you should be acting on it.
Jesus Christ didn’t just think ideas. He acted on them. He changed the world.
Mary Baker Eddy didn’t just think ideas. She acted on them and changed the world.
It’s your turn…

  1. I agree with the previous commenter. What seems to stop us from acting on ideas are spurious ideas that say we don’t know how to act, or when, or where, or that there are many reasons that this idea won’t work, etc. Overthrowing mortal mind objections/suggestions seems to be the hard part of getting started. I find very helpful Mary Baker Eddy’s statement about keeping the high goal always before us. Thank you very much for this thoughtful column.

  2. One idea I had, I shared with Spirit View 2/29/2012 was a movie having to due with a drama which would show how solutions are solved with C/S prayer. I felt and still feel that a movie of this kind will introduce C/S to a larger audience. Another idea I had was that the life of Mary Baker Eddy and her first C/S followers could be considered as a Third Testament which I shared with the C/S website Community Discussions. Both had negative comments towards these ideas. I only thank God that I was allowed to express it, and if it was God’s will for fruition, it will be. Today’s blog by Evan gave me another chance to express them again.
