Certain things are always open.

Prayer is open.
Gratitude is open.
Loving your neighbor is open.
Spiritual mindedness is open.
Laughter is open.
Hope is open.
Life is open.
Joy is open.
Mind is open.
Love is open.
God is open.

Embrace all that is open to stay open yourself.

  1. Thank you so much ! Life is so easy when our consciousness is OPEN to good things ONLY.
Have a nice week ! Dear friends

  2. Lovely thought to keep in mind all day. The following spiritual song immediately came
    to mind:-

OPEN MY EYES, THAT I MAY SEE

Open my eyes, that I may see
    Glimpses of truth Thou hast for me;
Place in my hands the wonderful key
That shall unclasp and set me free.

    Refrain:
Silently now I wait for Thee,
Ready my God, Thy will to see,
    Open my eyes, illumine me,
    Spirit divine!

Open my ears, that I may hear
    Voices of truth Thou sendest clear;
And while the wave-notes fall on my ear,
    Everything false will disappear.

    Refrain…………..

Open my mouth, and let me bear
    Gladly the warm truth everywhere;
Open my heart and let me prepare
Love with Thy children thus to share.

    Refrain………….

    1. How encouraging and relevant. One of my favorite spiritual songs, first heard it in El Paso, Texas’s Third church song as a solo.

    2. Thank you”SpiritVIew”for this true Truth and thank you Rexford for bringing this Link to my attention.

  3. Thank you Evan! This is exactly what I needed to hear this morning. And thank you Maggie, for the delightful song! This too is music to my ears (and eyes to see)!! 🙂

    1. Angie! THANK YOU FOR THIS VERY FINE ARTICLE BY ONE OF OUR GREAT CS THINKERS!!
It really “nails” the problem of dualism/duality/double-mindedness/etc, encouraging us all to
strive for the ideal: Perfect God/Perfect Man, the absolute truth, without any “other” semi-truths! Grateful.
      ~Sue

    2. I must thank you also Angie for the many really helpful articles you share – and this one
      too is a winner.

Thanks also to everyone who shares – they are all so encouraging. And, of course, endless
thanks to Evan for keeping us on track with new ideas every day.

  4. Thank you Evan so much for these great messages
Angie, I don’t know how you do it! This article is a must for me!!
    Many thanks!

  5. When, some years ago now, it became commonplace for us to be able to shop for ‘forgotten ‘ items 24/7 , it easily became a silent material prop while trying to juggle work, family and related chores. How much more benefit there is from our 24/7 spiritual prop, our awareness of constant harmony in all things.. I needed this reminder that the Kingdom of Heaven is accessible 24/7 so thank you Evan. Now it is my duty to embrace it❣️

  6. I loved being reminded that what is REAL does not close and open, start and stop, come and go. Divine Truth, which we all have access to through our inborn spiritual sense, is stable and unchanging, “the same yesterday, today and forever” (Heb 13:8).

We can only be the way God know us to be, and that is, as Evan said, …always embracing all that is open, so we can stay open and receptive to true, spiritual reality.

Thank you Maggie for the wonderful song, full of humility and much needed.

  7. This year covid lockdowns and opening and shutting schools, businesses, churches, etc….we know that the REAL is always open. We can never be shut out of reality.

  8. Thank you Maggie for the beautiful heart opening song,– M for the expanded definition of Open,– and Angie for the rousing journal article. And dear Evan for encouraging us to stay open to all of God’s goodness. “… I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it.” Revelation

  9. Thank you for sharing that song, Maggie. It’s one of my favorites and such a gentle reminder of the blessings that come from being “open” spiritually.

  10. Am very grateful for SpiritView – thank you Evan!
And to all the openness you are counting here, I will ad that our church has steadily open the readingroom and regulär church services in our church building. We are very grateful for it, not accepting anything else but God’s loving guidance!

    1. Oh yes, Evan, I just read it again. And yes let’s embrace all that is open, but specially all what you said, dear Evan and what I wrote about my CS church. This thought came to me because I did readingroom service today.
I am also very grateful for Maggie’s post with the wonderful hymn and for all the interesting and inspired comments!♡
Dear God thsnks awfully for this very lovely SpiritView blog ! 🙂

  11. I love your prayer of openness, Evan, and wrote it on a card to remind myself. All CSt’s, all Americans, all people everywhere, are open to to Love’s embrace and care!
