  1. Dear Evan. You do keep them coming.
    An ideal message for Christmas.
Also an ideal message for all European’s locked into the problem of Britain’s exit from the European economic community. England needs to understand its “Peace in tribulation”
This weeks Lesson Sermon says it all. “God the Preserver of Man”
    Happy Christmas to everyone.
    Ted.

  2. Being a mediator, I’ve expressed this thought to those who are in their training to become mediators for their preparation. If you are going to help others resolve their issues and interest, you yourself must be at peace in preparation for the process. I believe spiritual peacemakers reflect that level of divine love towards their fellow mankind, not controlling others specifically, but rather allowing all those in that environment to witness the environment of peace from within. One witness to this condition can be a powerful tool for others to witness the same. Thank you, Evan, for this constant flow of right ideas.

  3. “Let there be Peace On Earth and Let it begin with me.
Let there be Peace on Earth, the Peace that was meant to be.
With Love as our Mother, Family all are we.
Let us walk with each other in perfect Harmony.
Let there be Peace on Earth, let this be the moment now.
With every breath we take, let this be our solemn vow.
To take each moment and live each moment in Peace eternally.
Let there be Peace on Earth and Let it begin with me!”

    1. and Love as our Father too. hopefully expressed by what we call man and women too.

Those in our country and other working to their highest sense in military service have my prayers too.

  4. Thank you Bevi – that hits the nail in these times of turmoil in the world – a very nice and suitable poem for Christmas, where it says in the Bible …and good will to men!

I would also say, Peace begins within me, and then when we express the heavenly peace we can bring this peace to our neigbors and finally to the world. Every step to a good deed, reconciliation with somebody who was angry with us, or loving excuses to someone to whom I was not so kind at that moment – brings us nearer to reap a harvest of rightiousness, as Evan says above.

Thank you dear Evan, for that so poetic vers from James 3 in the Bible. Love that colourful foto, specially the blue of that shiny ball. 🙂

  5. At the end of this school year in New Zealand my great granddaughter was awarded the Citizens’ Award.. This is an award presented to the student judged to be the most caring, loving, kind and considerate person in her attitude towards all students ,big and small
In a special ceremony where she was presented with a small silver cup and the large cup.where her name is engraved (held by her for a year ) she was rather overwhelmed .
    She is only 9..
To me this act of having these good qualities proclaimed as very important in children’s daily living. It is a good progressive sign in the education of our children.

  6. Thank you all for your beautiful thoughts about Peace. I am grateful for Evan’s verse to start this conversation. In the human scene people are looking for “Rich Rewards” in material gain.
Our real reward is in the spiritual harvest and perfect peace.

I also enjoyed reading the words of Bevi’s “Peace Song.” As an undergraduate at
Purdue University, I sang this in the Purdue University Choir for the Christmas Concert. It was my first encounter with the song.

Thanks, Bevi, for transcribing all the words of this song and bringing to mind my first encounter.
It is so meaningful for today’s world.

Joyous Christmas with perfect peace, everyone.

  7. Our church solo last Sunday was” Let There Be Peace On Earth”
It is beautiful in both word & song. Thanks to Evan & those who share. I look forward to beginning each day, here on Spiritview.

  8. With God as our Father ( original words in the hymn I think) …. and Mother

I pray for those in military service at this time of year…. acting up to their highest sense of right often serving in seeming untoward and dangerous places , yet unselfishly putting country before self…

  9. Yes, love …the hymn…”Let there be peace and let it begin with me…”. We sang it in church last week from our new Hymnal.

Love love love brings and is true peace.

    Merry Christmas to all!!
