Do you ever get depressed by bad news coming in about ominous events happening around the world?
I share ideas on how understanding the truth about God counteracts bad news hurled at us through the media. It’s possible to keep a positive spiritual perspective that brings healing to mankind, rather than allowing one’s thought to sink into a dark hole of discouragement. It’s a video on learning how to be overwhelmed by the good, rather than the evil.
This vlog was filmed on the Yellowstone River, near Miles City, Montana, when my wife and I visited in August 2021.

Thank you for posting this excellent article so perfect for my needs this morning.
YES I love that Evan…we all need to be healers instead of just being observers and being so overwhelmed with the situations that we become part of the problem. Yes we have a choice…to fall in a heap of despair….or to stand up and say ” THIS IS A CHALLENGE to be MET” then use what we know as Christian SCientists to neutralise these disturbing pictures and stories about the world that we are bombarded with all day. try turning the news off for a start. We already know enough about the many issues that need to be prayed about so no need to keep rehearsing the repeated stories on these same issues.
Thank you Evan!!
Exactly❣️
Perfect message.
Just what I needed Thank you Evan!
Thank you Evan, it is always so good to see and hear you speak from beautiful areas at different state locations. Your messages are always so “on point” for me and I love the articles shared as well. Thank you for this wonderful site.
Thank you!
“Choose you this day whom ye will serve”. It’s a choice. Thank you so much Evan, and all.
Last night in my dreams or thoughts the idea came to me asking me which is my God? Sin, disease and death or the Spirit of one creator who is all good having no allegiance with that which is unlike Himself. Choose wisely was the final message.
Love your vlogs, thank you Evan, especially helpful for me with the current Ukraine situation. And, two wonderful articles from Angie and Martine, What a feast today! On occasion I watch a program on TV called “Finding Your Roots”. Using DNA material codes it helps people find their ancestors and gives them a sense of belonging. Their joy, emotion and wonder are palpable. I can only imagine what it could be if the program introduced them to their real, eternal, spiritual heritage.
I also appreciate the article about codes especially in relation to DNA codes. With a grandson with special needs we need to be aggressive in denying the suggestion of innate deficiencies in the development of mankind. God’s creation is not deficient in any way. The belief of autism seems so prevalent and it needs to be forever defeated.
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY. This message is so Happy. It makes my day. God is Good, this I know, right now! People who say God is nowhere can turn it around and say -in perfect volume – God is NOW HERE. . THANKS AGAIN.
..
Thank you Evan for this important reminder of where to place our focus when current events can feel so overwhelming. As good citizens and loving hearts we all want to stay abreast of the challenges facing the world we live in. At times of feeling overcome by it all, we as Christian Scientists know to seek a higher view and go to the mountaintop of Spirit, where the clearer God-view cancels out the illusions. At this pinnacle of thought, we can feel Truth and Love operating,- comforting, correcting and healing world consciousness.
This week’s Sentinel Watch program features Dave Scott, the Audience Engagement Editor for the Christian Science Monitor. In his interview with Tony Lobel he discusses highlights of his research centering on the love inspired activities and missions of people around the globe His podcasts are titled “People Making A Difference”, and is certainly a counter to the downward tendencies and limited viewpoints that seem to prevail. One of the phone numbers for Sentinel Watch is (713) 595-5210.
So grateful for today’s uplifting message.
Linda, thanks for your wise words about “going to the mountaintop of Spirit” to find clearer God views, and for the reference to the Sentinel Watch episode. I will check it out, sounds like a good antidote to help balance out our perceptions and remind us of all the massive amounts of good that are happening everywhere, but which we may not hear about in the mainstream media. Here is a link to the Sentinel Watch page:

Also there is a news website called the Good News Network, they cover only positive news stories from around the globe. goodnewsnetwork.org

Appreciating all of you today. Rhondda above mentioned that today is Valentine’s Day, a perfect day to celebrate Love as a universal spiritual quality, one of the names of God. Love is what we are, what we express, what naturally pours forth from us. Love is found in divine Mind where we meet and exist. Let’s magnify God so that we can wake up from mortal dreams and begin to see that anything unlike Him is unreal.
I love Evan’s suggestion to us today that we can be overcome by Good rather than evil. In Deut. 30 it says, “See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;….therefore choose Life, that both thou and thy seed may live.” Gratitude and Love to all today (and every day).
An example of good:
We placed an order for my son’s birthday, to be delivered to our home address. The delivery service emailed us their notice, the package was at our front door, except no package was present outside the front door. A search was requested, on Feb 7th. My son’s birth date is Feb. 13,
On February 13th, the house phone rang, and a voice on the phone asked if we were expecting a package? The caller reported that 2 packages were dropped on their doorstep (we share the exact same house number in our addresses, except their street name is located one block south). I exclaimed “YES” we were expecting the 2 packages, but nothing had appeared at our front door. Within the hour, the packages were picked up and ready to be presented to my son on his birth date, February 13th.
All credit goes to God for his guidance, care, and protection. We are all so blessed, governed by God.
Thank you Evan (and your lovely wife) for taking the time out of your vacations to put together and share these wonderful, valuable, healing vlogs. I love and appreciate so much your blogs too. So helpful in keeping our thoughts above the fray day by day.
“Well done thou good and faithful servant”!! (=
