Be patient and get the victory

Sometimes life’s demands feel overwhelming, even impossible to meet. But take heart. There is a spiritual solution coming your way that will take you to a better place.

The life of a Christian is not meant to be easy in this world. It’s about overcoming this world and finding life in Spirit.

The world belief systems will often resist our progress and try to stop us from advancing in our spiritual demonstrations. This is when we face what appear to be insurmountable obstacles and walls in our path. But they are illusions of the human mind to be overcome with a greater understanding of spiritual reality. Christ is here to give us what we need to overcome those evils and move on. God always has the final say.

“Friends, when life gets really difficult, don’t jump to the conclusion that God isn’t on the job. Instead, be glad that you are in the very thick of what Christ experienced. This is a spiritual refining process, with glory just around the corner.”

~ 1 Peter 4:12-13, MSG

  1. When we find ourselves in horrible situations, this shows that we are winning the battle, not giving in to it and we shouldn’t allow that attitude to take over in our consciousness.
The enemy never rises unless it feels threatened. Overcoming the suggestion is the very work that’s needed and if we don’t succumb to the false suggestion, there is God, right there leading us to the right way of overcoming. So take heart, we are in it to win and win we will.

  2. Thank you, Evan: this has renewed my resolve to rise spiritually and overcome a physical problem that is trying to plague me. God is in charge. He gives me the strength to climb over walls and obstacles.

  3. This is Beautiful, Evan! Thank you so very much! So grateful that you said, “The life of a Christian is not meant to be easy in this world.” I think sometimes there are those of us who think Christian Science is a means to help us be more comfortable in matter, or “in the world”. But then I think of how Jesus said, “I have overcome the world.” And also when Mrs. Eddy said, (paraphrasing) – “our disappointments and ceaseless woes turn us like tired children to the arms of divine Love. Then, we begin to learn life in divine Science.” Yes, the whole point is to find our Life in God, Spirit, and of course we will encounter obstacles and hinderances as we grow in that direction. Thanks again for a Beautiful View!

  4. Once again I marvel at the harmony of Truth! I just finished a quick prayer of gratitude for today’s Daily Lift message, “Being Delivered”, when I turned to your blog, Evan, and here is the very reassurance I needed to hear – “Christ is here to give us what we need to overcome those evils and move on. God always has the final say.” and “This is a spiritual refining process, with glory just around the corner.”

    Thank you!

  5. Evan, thanks for adding victory. It’s this promise that keeps us going. And your great example of persistence and continuing to live in and lead us ‘in spirit’.

  6. This blog helped me to see a little more of what the journey is. I shy away from anything that sounds like the Christian martyrs of old and how hard this path might be. But there is a ‘struggle’ to trust in God when we are tempted – Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. I don’t think we can ever go back to the life we had before we began this journey consciously. A teacher said to me once, you have to start from where you want to go. I guess because that is all there is that is truly happening in the end. If there weren’t teachers, blogs, books, etc. there would still be God. I find I am leaning more on God ,more and more.
