Every step of progress is a step more spiritual.
~ Mary Baker Eddy, The People’s Idea of God, p. 1
If you want to make real progress this year, commit to making spiritual progress! It’s the one achievement that will have the best effect on you and lead you to the best experiences.
Yes, indeed! Resolving things into thoughts. This evening I opened JSH On-line and typed into the Search bar: – Love Thine Enemies, and am now reading through all the articles that discuss this – so very inspiring and such a clear vision of how the Christ Mind is All. Thank you Evan for this wonderful “gathering place” … so appreciated. <3
Is there any greater experience than feeling the embrace of God? Spiritual progress enables us to feel Love’s presence more consistently.
Evan thank you for this sharing format where we can rejoice in one another’s progress..
Step by step we receive the prize of the high calling of God.
“Short steps, lean into the hill”…taught on my long load-carrying treks in SF training. With steady progress those hills always ended up behind us.
Love always guiding.
There simply is no greater power, rewarding path nor enlightening experience than to let more light of divine Love into one’s life.
Step by step, seeing more Light and Truth revealed in God each day. I learned in CS that in God’s law there is only progress, with no retrograde steps. Thanks and love to everyone!

I love this picture of the stairs, and how climbing upward is a reminder of our spiritual progress. It also brought to mind a “misstep” I have taken and regretted. I came across this article, I believe on JSH.com recently, and it was very helpful in addressing this issue. In case you missed it and are interested:

Short and very sweet Evan. Thank you for this. Angie and J , your articles are so helpful too. How wonderful to know that all is in reality, thought / spiritual consciousness and divine Love is continually guiding us to increasing spiritual awareness. Love is the spring in our daily steps❣️
I am so appreciative of you Angie and J for providing these articles that bring out the messages of progress, The second one is from this month’s issue of the Christian Science Sentinel. The two articles blend so well in their messages. I see the “Tares and Wheat” analogy in the first article as seeming mortal and spiritual experience growing side by side and not mingling and then separated, unfolding the good as the real and the tares as the “If only’s” mentioned in the second article.
The second article is a n eye opener of the steps taken to progress out of those “If only” moments…I have had a reoccurrence of those lately. Mary Baker Eddy says in Science and Health; “There is no retrograde step” I like that Richard Gates says, “To vacate the mortal narrative for the spiritual facts of being is not careless injustice or an imprudent ignoring of mistakes. It is an inevitable yielding to our own “high calling of God in Christ Jesus” in which we discover divine Love’s forgiveness and our true selfhood. God’s avowal of full pardon is, ” I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee” (Isaiah 44:22).”
The first time I realized that we could progress was when I received a loving note from a CS friend of my mother at her passing in 1975 saying that she hadn’t died but progressed on. This message was a progressive moment for me in realizing we can continue to learn and we might as well do it now.
Thanks, Evan, for the reminding me of this.
I like the “Might as well do it now”
Thank you dear Evan for today’s SpiritView!
Meanwhile I have learned, and it is very clear to me, that experiencing spiritual progress is the only true progress.
That is the real progress which we do, siding God and thus following His safe and loving guidance. So is true progress inevitable. And as Mary Baker Eddy says in Science and Health, as we surely all know: “Progress is a law of God…” And as God is all in all , His law is the only law!
Yes Evan, it is my goal for this year to progress in understanding the Christ and Christian Science better and better.
Thank you Angie for the Journal article and am looking forward reading that article later Am grateful for this inspiring SpiritView forum ♡
