The price of gas, food, rent, eating out, and clothes is on the rise. Inflation is running rampant around the world, and many people are wondering how to pay their bills.
Inflation needs to be brought under check, no doubt, but in the meantime, a spiritual perspective can keep one ahead of the evil and demonstrating abundance all the same.
When fretting about the effects of inflation, I remind myself to seek spiritual inspiration instead.
Mary Baker Eddy wrote, “God gives you His spiritual ideas, and in turn, they give you daily supplies” (Misc. Writings, p. 307).
It’s spiritual ideas coming from God that supply our every human need with the best outcomes.
Inspired ideas are what lead to gainful employment, wise decisions, productive activity, and profitable outcomes. Inspired ideas pay the bills.
No matter how high inflation runs, inspiration from God is always abundant to meet the need of the moment.
Spiritual inspiration from divine Mind keeps us on top of economic inflation drummed up by mortal mind.
Inspiration from God exempts us from suffering from inflation.
So, waste no time fearing inflation. Seek spiritual inspiration! The inspiration you gain from God will keep you ahead of inflation.
It’s easy to blame inflation on someone else like government flooding the system with too much liquidity. Yes, there does need to be accountability.
However, as healers, we need to take into account our role in the remedy. If there was an car accident there is no value in blame as to cause ( there is a separate remedy for that).
We can all help heal any mortal dilemma with our clear thinking being part of the remedy..
Let’s hear it for spiritual mindedness as a path for any remedy. Divine Love caring for and meeting every need.
We each must do our part in upholding the correct thought about our spiritual nature. Blame on others or systems isn’t the road to recovery, but more of the same old stuff. THINK do not sink into despair. We are healers not followers of false prophets.

It is merely the inflation of false material beliefs about lack, while God is supplying
abundance to meet every human need every moment. Mortal beliefs are leading in the wrong
direction for solutions – scientific prayer to God brings out the solution for all.

Belief may INFLATE itself…puff itself up…like a balloon which must will burst, sooner or later. No need to stand aghast at its nothingness! Or aid its efforts to impress by “reading–thinking, talking–all about it!” How wonderful Truth is to show us the better way… the reality instead of bursting balloons!

Lynne Twist, the author of The Soul of Money, points out that what we appreciate appreciates and also that there is no law of lack there is only a law of sufficiency. So the cost of things cannot separate us from receiving everything we need every day.

I love that the spiritual inspiration we gain from studying Christian Science can be applied in ANY area of life, including inflation.
Inflation implies that the things we need to be safe and comfortable are scared and harder to obtain. That is pure error, and it implies that God changes and becomes scarcer and harder to reach or connect with. God doesn’t know about inflation, He just know that all remains well with His creation, as He remains in control.
Thank you Evan for being there with us each day. I was feeling out of sorts earlier and just reading your post and others’ comments (entering the safe space of SV) helped me calm down and reminded me that Truth and Good are unchanging. Sometimes the topic is not as important as the atmosphere created here. Very grateful to all of you.
