It’s Independence Day in the United States, a holiday formed over two centuries ago to celebrate the nation’s independence from foreign domination.
The holiday serves as a useful reminder to me to declare independence from all types of domination, not just from national occupation, but personal, physical, and disease related domination that would rob us of health and happiness.
God created us to live free of all oppression. We have God-given rights to rise and conquer any type of fear, false belief, or disease that would justify suffering.
Be sure to exercise your spiritual rights. Declare your independence from all evil. Declare your dependence on God. Conquer suffering with spiritual truth and live free!
Mary Baker Eddy wrote,
“Like our nation, Christian Science has its Declaration of Independence. God has endowed man with inalienable rights, among which are self-government, reason, and conscience. Man is properly self-governed only when he is guided rightly and governed by his Maker, divine Truth and Love.” Science and Health, p. 106.
Well done, Evan. America seems to be in some jeopardy at this time, and it’s vital that we love our country and affirm what it stands for.
Yes, we must declare our independence from evil in whatever form and our reliance on Truth – ever operative.
Thank You!
A PERFECT Declaration for Today!
We celebrate our natural freedoms in Yorktown. Thank you Evan..
I am so grateful to live in a country (America) where I can freely practice my faith (Christian Science), and where all are free to practice whatever faith or no faith they adhere to. I am grateful for the freedom to vote. I am grateful for the freedom to come and go as I wish. I am grateful to live in a country that, although still working out some things, is the most generous giver of foreign aid in the world. I am celebrating what is good about America today. And I appreciate your pointing out, Evan, that our freedom is a God-given right, and it is for all mankind. It is our emancipation from all that is unlike good.
yes, as American has its celebration day for independence I think also other countries have it in a certain manner.
The last Paragraph what Evan said is relevant, and I am most grateful for it!!
And I love Mrs. Eddy’s passage from SH page 106 above statement.
Thank you, dear Evan for your today’s SpiritView leading us to the right idears! !
Wishing all dear Americans and everybody else very happy celebration of our God bestowed spiritual INDEPENDENCE !!!
Love to all from Germany
All error is trapped by a non existent future due to its self-destructive nature. But only by realizing the our true eternal spiritual identity can we join the eternal harmony of being joyously free from all erroneous thought.

“America the Beautiful” I love this song and have often wished it was our National Anthem. As I have had the great experience of visiting all 50 of our states and appreciating the vast variety of each state’s beauty, I have felt deep gratitude for living here and also for the freedoms we have. Happy Independence Day to all!
