Do not harm with anger

Stop being angry!
Turn from your rage!
Do not lose your temper—it only leads to harm.

  1. Yes, calmly tell your side, be truthful about it, and don’t worry about the response. This helped me in a road rage incident many years ago where I was hit behind by another car which forced my car to hit the car in front of me. The driver whom was hit got out cursing to beat the band. I very casually asked him to show me his insurance card while I took out mine from the glove compartment. He calmed down and made the remark; “I never saw a cool cat like you in all my years.” Not getting angry and cussing back saved me what could have been life threatening. This incident and this incident alone taught me a great lesson in humility.
