I’m not afraid of storms, for I’m learning to sail my ship.
~ Louisa May Alcott
Spiritual mindedness is the “ship” that gets us through any storm. Put God at the helm of that ship, and you’ll make it safely to shore.

When ever the Weather Burough issues a storm warning, I pray thus; “No cloud can hide God’s face, it’s Divine Love’s weather.” AND IT WORKS TO A “T.”
Thanks, Evan, I never heard this quote of Louisa May Alcott’s before. I love your definition of the ship–spiritual sense–and I find it thought-provoking to consider the various types of storms–emotional, mental, economic, political, ethical, cultural, religious–that we can learn to sail through scathelessly when we allow Soul to control our hands with Love at the helm.
The adapted version I take away from this blog is: I am not afraid of storms, because I am learning to sail my ship with Love at the helm.
Happy sailing in the spiritual journey to “Life’s shore!” * CS Hymn 253 Mary Baker Eddy’s prayer “Christ My Refuge”
very lovely. just what someone in a potential war zone needs. thank you.
I am learning that lifting our thought up to the spiritual helps me to calm down the dramatized weather predictions that come to us each day. Knowing firmly that our dear Father Mother is in total control of every situation ,and He/She has only the abundant, gentle , infinite good to work with we can expect that bountiful goodness to be made manifest
I have witnessed many a turn-around .
