Embrace the cross and lighten your load

Here’s a short animated video that cleverly captures the awe-inspiring freedom that comes from understanding what it means to bow before the cross, to let the Lord take your burdens away and to be led down a path of peace.

  1. Sorry– the link provided goes to a Facebook page which appears blank, at least on an iPad. Comments are visible, but no video. Would love to see it, but can’t. Thanks!

  2. Solved my own problem—If you tap the middle of the blank space on Facebook (where a “play” arrow would be on YouTube) the video plays. Apparently the play button is there, but not visible to the user, at least not on an iPad. Thanks for sharing this animation!

  3. That was Beautiful and so Simple! Thanks, Evan! The Christian Tradition uses the Cross as a symbol of letting God take our burdens from us. At any time, we can humbly bow our thought in prayer and contemplation and pray for the humility to Let Go and Let God! In Christianity, Christian Science, and in many other Religions and Traditions, it is taught that there truly is a Power Greater Than Ourselves that once we surrender to, will care for us and meet all our needs. So Grateful to know that there really is a Power and a Presence that Loves and Protects us and wants only the Best for All Of Us. Praying the Prayer of Humility……

  4. Sorry, none of the above ideas worked on my i Pad. Evan can you redo this? I would love to see the video. Nthanks

  5. Thanks for sharing this video! It’s just what I was praying about, feeling God’s unconditional love engulfing me, letting go of fear/worry/rumination and speculation. As Bevi mentions, of course it’s not exclusive to Christianity! All can feel God’s love taking away their burdens.

BTW it worked fine on my iPad, at around 11 am Eastern time.

  6. Interesting message od capturing our spiritual thoughts of the cross. Sometimes we need more of this in an effort to bring forth our pure thoughts of the Easter meaning.

    Thanks

  7. I pick up your blog every day on my iPhone
I’ve clicked all over the picture & get nothing

Could you re-send with an arrow click as usual ?

    Many thanks, Barbara

    1. Clicking on the picture will not work. You must click on the link “The meaning of love,” printed in blue. I hope that works for you!

  8. This is my comment, under the sweet video…

La mortalidad es una sombra, un sueño, y no lo que somos como las ideas de Dios … Su imagen y semejanza, como se dice claramente en el primer capítulo de la Biblia. No somos polvo. Amén

Mortality is a shadow, a dream, and not who we are as God’s ideas…His image and likeness, as it clearly states in the first Chapter of the Bible. We are not dust. Amen

Thank you for the helpful illustration, Evan. I sometimes (too often!) get all mixed up with
the dream about who I am, the shadow, and need to be lifted up by the Christ, Truth.

Thank you for the truth, God!

  9. Thank you Evan, Barbara. and Spiritview fan . Nothing worked on my laptop, but going to my cell phone and following Evan’s suggestion, took me to a precious message.

  10. Oh, my! I casually watched the walker walk, stop, then, as he “crossed the line” something happened to the cross, it leaned down, the man was on his knees…WHAT was that all about? So, I replayed it! What a shock! What an awakening! What a story! There is so much in those few video seconds that it belies time to write it all out. The man casually walks through life, but he is burdened. Suddenly his thought (must be) is arrested by the cross. In his great need he kneels, thanks God despite his burden. I had not noticed that initially. And, as the man kneels in humble prayer, acknowledging the Christ and his sacrifice on the cross, the son of God teaching us that there is really no death—the “follow me”–the man suddenly “gets it.” He goes forth, relieved of his burdens (whatever they are). I have looked at this several times already. There are so MANY lessons in this simple video when one puts the spiritual interpretation into each movement. The simplicity of the lesson(s) here is incredible if one stops to discern and really take in what is being portrayed. Oh, Evan, THANK YOU.

  11. Hi
I will watch it again. So much is made of the crucifixion at times and the message gets forgotten. I have looked at the cross as part of the journey to freedom, no more on the cross but free.
