Exercise your divine power

If you’re ever feeling weak and unable to rise to the occasion, it’s an opportunity to remember how God has blessed you with the ability to “Rise in the strength of Spirit.”

What you cannot do humanly, God can do spiritually.

Mary Baker Eddy writes, “Rise in the strength of Spirit to resist all that is unlike good.  God has made man capable of this, and nothing can vitiate the ability and power divinely bestowed on man” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 393).

Spirit has the might and power you need to “Rise and walk.”

Lean on Spirit.  Let Spirit lift you.  God made you capable of doing this.  It’s a divine right permanently endowed in your being.

Exercise your right to “Rise in the strength of Spirit.”  God made you capable of it.

  1. God definitely has blessed us – including through your wonderful, strengthening posts and example!!! Thank you dear Evan.

“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory [manifest power and Love] of the Lord is risen upon thee.” Isa. 60:1

  2. A hymn comes to my mind. printed below;

Arise ye people, take your stand,
Cast out your idols from the land,
Above all doctrine, form or creed
Is found the Truth that meets your need.
Christ’s promise stands: they that believe
His works shall do, his power receive.

Go forward then, and as ye preach
So let your works confirm your speech,
And prove to all with following sign
The Word of God is power divine.
    In love and healing ministry
Show forth the Truth that makes men free.

    O Father-Mother God, whose plan
    Hath given dominion unto man,
In Thine own image we may see
Man pure and upright, whole and free.
And ever through our work shall shine
That light whose glory, Lord, is Thine.
    (Christian Science Hymnal, No. 12:1–3)

Let’s not make a god out of fear
or other false material beliefs – and
let us look to our Father-Mother God
and find the truth that gives us the dominion
that sets us free to rise up and follow Christ.

  3. Thank you, Evan. Your words mean so much in helping me this morning. My dog whined until I opened your SpirView. Now she is just quietly sitting here with me as. I drink in your healing messages (including those of others). Thank you all

  5. This has long been a favorite passage of mine. It is both a command and a promise. I love that it is God that enables us to rise and not human will or effort, and that nothing can vitiate (obstruct, block, hinder, destroy or undermine) our ability to understand and demonstrate this truth. Thank you, Evan, and all for your inspired postings. What a blessing!

  6. Made me think of this quote from Mrs. Eddy, I believe I’m S&H, “Citizens of the world (arise) and accept the glorious liberty of the children of God and BE FREE. This is your divine right!”
