What kind of food are you filling up with today? Material or spiritual?
If material, you’re likely to feel hungry again, constantly reaching out for more.
If spiritual, you’ll find a growing sense of contentment within that moderates the appetites of the flesh and brings them under control. Peace takes over. An unsatisfied hunger for more food that you really don’t need, melts away.
As the Psalmist writes, “Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day” (Psalms 71:8).
Fill up with Spirit! You’ll be far happier with the results.
I AM having my Spiritual breakfast first this morning—I opened SpiritView to get my appetizer before starting the main course—the weekly lesson. Wonder what I’ll have for dessert? Maybe a sponge cake so I can soak up all the Love and Truth surrounding me today. Maybe a helping of SonShine ….
